Food was delish, felt super rushed by our waitress who kept constantly appearing to take our order while the ladies hadn’t reviewed menu or were trying to catch up. I did enjoy a cocktail at the bar solo and had a nice chat with the young bartender. Overall a little noisy. But good experience overall.

I knew this restaurant has been here for a while, and several people told me it's good, but I've been disappointed in the suburban food choices recently. Well, they had space for us last Friday night, and so my sisters and I went for dinner. Omg, the food was so good! First, I was a little disappointed because the name suggested this to be a tapas place, or a place with basque food. It was neither, just regular American fare. However, the dishes, however simple, were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. We had the cauliflower (so crispy, yum), the steak frites (perfect medium rare, shoestring fries) and the lamb (again, perfectly medium rare). Our table by the window was cozy, and the restaurant wasn't too loud, even packed with people. Our servers were attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Ate here last night with friends. From the moment we sat down we were rushed through our meal. Pressured to order quickly and then they made it very clear they wanted us out and this was 75 minutes into our reservation (that we were on time for). My husband mentioned to the host when we walked out that we were rushed and she said “i have a lot of people waiting”. Okay, maybe you take too many reservations? We spent over $300 for the four of us…shouldnt that entitle us to the table four at least ninety minutes. It was unpleasant. The food was quite good but the rush overshadowed it sadly.

Been a few times. Always so good and the service is excellent. They’re always very accomdating when we bring our baby daughter. We’ve recommended it to friends and family and they’re always impressed too! Glad to have this place in downtown HP.

Pixca is a hidden gem in Highland Park. The food is amazing, from the appetizers and salads, to the main courses and desserts. The atmosphere is very homey and the staff extremely attentive and friendly. I’m excited to have found a new restaurant for a nice dinner.

This place is a gem. Intimate and warm space with decent parking. The staff is quite knowledgeable with regards to the menu and very attentive. I have been there numerous times this past 3 months. We have had weekend brunches, dinners and even carry out. All have been great. The menu is smaller but each item we’ve ordered have been consistently delicious. They have a full bar as well. This is our new favorite place to dine in Highland Park!Vegetarian options: The shakshouka is delicious. The guacamole is freshly made to order. We also love the omelette.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and coloring supplies provided.

We moved back to Highland park recently and wandered into Pixca when we couldn’t wait for a table across the street. Wow so glad we did. The Sunday breakfast was wonderful. House made EVERYTHING. The potato’s, shakshouka and omelets are fantastic. We came back later that week for dinner and were very impressed with the salmon and roasted half chicken. They have a full bar as well. They are staffed for any conditions so you’re never waiting. Carry out is also good.

Eight of us celebrated my husband’s birthday. Fernando and his staff, including our server Lady, couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating! We had cocktails (all delicious and appealing to the eye), appetizers and vegetables (delicious), burgers and mains (all our food was delivered to our table at the same time, and hot! Everything well presented and so tasty, all plates were clean!) The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and decorated so festive for the holidays! Thank you again, we will be back!!
