The food was outstanding – fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The spice level was just right, making it easy for the kids to enjoy. The atmosphere is great for families, and the owner is wonderful, especially with kids. Surprisingly, space worked extremely well for our family. Especially the upstairs. Service was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Thai comfort food.

It was snowing outside, so we started with some warm Jasmine Tea and a delicious Tom Ka with tofu, its a coconut milk soup with lemongrass and mushrooms, delicately sweet and warm. The crab sticks were their take on crab rangoons, standard flavor but different in texture. Now one of the best items I’ve tried of that evening was the lime chicken. It was juicy, deep fried and flaky toppe with an insanely delicious zesty lime sauce. That chicken is a must order if you’re here, but then we move onto their local favorites like the crispy panang noodles, these are reduced pananang curry stir-fried crispy flat noodles, and were also warm and comforting, the local favorites are actually inspired by the customers, I thought that was unique. Somehting that caught my eye even more was Pad See Iew dish but it has a crying tiger steak in there adding another juicy flavor that paired surprisignly very welll with the flat noodles and sweet soy sauce based dish. Their spring rolls are small and made from scratch, I always appreciate the made from scratch aspect, and the food is good so it shows that hard work does pay off. I ordered their half roasted crispy half duck, and it was honestly the crispiest duck I’ve ever had. Served with a sweet plum sauce that was perfect for dipping the duck in there. The duck was fatty and juicy and paired with veggies and fried rice. Highly recommend ordering that duck, I know there’s too many good items on the menu. For dessert, we had the classic mango sticky rice, and the mango is the buttery manila mango that is in season until December and then they use a different mango until they’re in season again. the sticky rice was sweet, lightly milky and overall this is a great spot

We decided to drive up to Highland Park from Chicago to enjoy a beautiful Fall day and tripped upon Ruby of Siam. We are happy we did. We had a delicious lunch. The flavors were spot on. The entrees were colorful and delicious! Next time we're in Town we will definitely stop by and also try their Skokie location. Two thumbs up 👍👍

As I lived in Southeast Asia for 10+ years, I can assure you this place has quality authentic Thai food. We got Tom Yum soup, white jasmine rice, Pad Thai beef, shrimp fried rice, and Thai iced tea, and it was all so good. Variety of options to choose from the menu, quality food, good service, reasonably priced, located conveniently in downtown Highland Park. As we sat for about an hour, we saw multiple pick up orders non-stop. Loved by locals and we absolutely loved this place! We don’t get why this place only has a 3.9 rating right now.
Parking: Free public indoor parking for up to 3 hours right across the street.

This is the best Thai food in the NorthShore! Every time we eat here the food is delicious, even when they are slammed and busy. The staff are friendly and always make sure you have a great experience. We always order are favorite dishes and try something new which always tastes delicious. Definitely order the lime chicken dinner it’s a favorite. This place is a must try!
Vegetarian options: They can make most dishes with only vegetables
Dietary restrictions: My mom is gluten intolerant and most dishes can be made gluten free!
Kid-friendliness: My toddler loves their food! They always make sure he has a water cup. He loves to eat with their soup bowls and spoons.

The food was really tasty! I have found the lunch special to be a very good value as well; made with care. Everything was fine except staff was moping the floor around us as we were eating and they used very strong smelling Fabuloso, I could taste it in my mouth. It really interfered with my delicious food experience. It was also a bit distracting to someone mop around you. I would recommend if mopping the restaurant is unavoidable during dining hours; to use a gentle moping soap that smells more natural like lemon or even scent free.

This place is amazing! The food is delicious!
All the negative reviews are people complaining about DoorDash in the suburbs - of course it’s not going to be as good when you are having it delivered from 10 miles away.

So, I have no sense of smell. since birth. so a lot of my dining experience is with sweet and hot and texture. I ordered a simple dish. Chicken pad Thai from Ruby of Siam. It was possibly the worst pad thai that I have ever eaten. And I'm not that picky. I will never order from them

I went to Ruby of Siam on a Tuesday (late afternoon) and they were empty! There were lots of delivery drivers coming in...constant while we were there. Our service was impeccable...needless to say. We were super impressed with the food, too. We got the sampler, Tom Kha, Spring Rolls, Ruby Crab Legs, the #49 KT Neu Sub, and #79 Pad Broccoli Kana. We have found our local Asian/Thai place.

The disrespect I experienced at this restaurant compels me not only to write this necessary review but also to decide never to return. I want to make it clear why, as a grown man, I can endure subpar service, but witnessing a little girl beside me being ignored for an hour and a half is unacceptable. The staffing situation, with only two people managing eight tables and the phone ringing every 30 seconds, is inadequate. There are no excuses for being understaffed. Please consider hiring more staff or, if necessary, closing the restaurant."

We went to Ruby of Siam on NYs Day Eve, and the food was delicious, the owner was so kind, and the ambiance was very chic! The owner even let our kids play upstairs with the pac man machine while us grownups had a few minutes to ourselves! I would highly recommend this fabulous Thai cuisine !!!
