Tamales Mexican Restaurant

Food was bland and overpriced. Base prices were too high with absurd upcharges for what should be standard add-ons, like onions and cilantro. "Beef" enchiladas were mainly cheese inside and obviously microwaved on the plate. Staff was surly and service was abysmal. Waiter rudely scolded my kid with a "calla te".

As always, we had an amazing dinner last night. As per the owner, Jeff who is awesome, I tried the filet mignon duo. OMG it is my new favorite dish. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Fantastic as usual. Food is soooo good. Outdoor seating and cool inside. The owner is super friendly and helpful making your experience just what you want. Great atmosphere but wish they would play some Mexican music :) maybe I was just there at an off time.

What a great place for an authentic, fresh food! The staff is amazing and the portions are HUGE! A great option when in Highland Park. We had the tamale platter, the salmon burrito and the taco platter

The staff is super friendly. However, this restaurant is full of junk fees like an airline. Never in my life did I expect to see cilantro and onion being charged extra on a taco order of two pieces - which you must choose the same protein as mixing is not allowed. Definitely a pricey restaurant for the value offered.
