Our server was stoned out of his mind and was being a creep. The food came and was inedible. We decided to just pay the tab and to find another place to eat. I’ve never done that in my entire life. Wouldn’t be surprised if these guys are laundering money. This is honestly the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.There was one really nice server who really felt bad. He was the only good thing about this place.

Not going to lie me and my friend went to go try it for the first time and honestly the people that work there did an amazing job with the service, they were really friendly to us, the food was spot on.

This is the most delicious Middle Eastern Food, with the most elegant surroundings and the most hospitable owner and staff. It's reasonable, too.

I just picked this place off Google because it was nearby, open, and had good reviews. I'm so glad I did. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the price was reasonable. The roast lamb shank was tender and delicious. I highly recommend it.

Not only was the food we were able to eat bad (overly salty, not fresh, looked and tasted like some of it came straight out of the Gordon Food Services can), but the manager was beyond rude and combative. I think I would have just held back and just opted not to go back again and not written any review had it not been for the interaction I had with him. Also as a side note.... my order was a take out order. I am so glad I was not in the actual restuarant any sooner than I needed to be to pick up the food as the smell was an awful old and greasy one that sticks to everything.

You will never find more delicious food or more responsive service anywhere. Fabulous restaurant with reasonable prices!

Our waitress was very friendly and sweet! Food was great! Though I wish their brunch menu had a little more to offer, perhaps more egg options. Going back there soon!

Stopped by here for a late lunch after the Chicago Botanic Garden's orchid show. The waiter/owner(?) suggested the vegetarian platter and mixed grill plate as a good sampling and plenty of food for two. We went with the suggestion and were extremely happy with the food (the dosa / stuffed grape leaves were the best I've had). The chicken was super moist and flavorful but all the meats in the mixed grill plate. We were also given helpful tips to help enjoy the food more. In addition to the food, we also had the house tea (wonderful) and the Turkish coffee (amazing) paired with some light, crisp baklava. Will definitely be back on a future time in the area

Joseph is a legend. His food and personality are equally remarkable. Joseph's "puree of yellow lentil" was the first soup for both of my sons back when the location was named Phoenicia. We were so glad to see Joseph's return with Uncle Tannous. If you haven't visited, I encourage you to visit soon. I am confident that you'll enjoy the food and I know you'll enjoy Joseph talking about the specials, if you are fortunate enough for him to do it. Never a more passionate reading of the specials. :)

Great specials everytime I've been in. My new go to restaurant in Highland Park.

Vegetarian options: They have them.

Kid-friendliness: Nothing to scare them away. Seating accomodations. Pretty fast service. Not sure what else to say. The chef frequently comes out too say hello and greet people.

Parking: City lots and spaces all around the area

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Dietary restrictions: You should be able to find something for everyone

Variety of Lebanese cuisine but not worth the price, expensive and not that flavorful as expected. The chef is experienced but ignores customer/guest needs, only lectures on his own making and his magic hands, and embarrasses his new staff by telling him he is not experienced in serving.
