Wish this place had longer hours, although I get why they don't. Had a day off from work so had the opportunity to visit and it was nice! Good food and cozy atmosphere.

Though there are locations closer to home, I go out of my way to come to this Walker Bros because it's more spacious and parking is plentiful in downtown Highland

This is the most mid breakfast food you can get. Most people come here for nostalgia. The servers are nice and the interior is classic.

Food was phenomenal. Service was great. We really enjoyed those two things. Unfortunately, if you're Black, be prepared to be grossly stared at. My mother and I were the only ppl of color there and multiple people couldn't stop themselves from staring at us like we were aliens that shouldn't have been there. The folks who worked there were fine which is why I'm not penalizing them in this rating but Highland Park needs to do better. Black people aren't going to stop existing. Sorry.

Real good dine In place for family. Would highly recommend for people of all ages. Food is delicious and staff is nice. No complaints.
Vegetarian options: Enough vegetarian options for a vegetar to eat there.
Parking: There is a parking lot basically underneath so it’s a really neat location.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, kids menu and staff are nice. Outside there is a little square where kids can play and adults can supervise from inside
Wheelchair accessibility: Not much wheelchair accessibility but it can be arranged if needed 😉

This is one of the best Breakfast Restaurants we've ever been to as a family. Everyone was extremely satisfied with what they ordered. We also all shared everything so everyone could taste everything. We would definitely road trip to Illinois just for this restaurant. The staff is extremely kind and very attentive. There's a great atmosphere. The stain glass windows are beautiful and surround you in beauty as you wait for your food. This an absolute must try when in the area.

Hands down, the best breakfast food I had in Chicago this year (2024). The staff was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was cute-kitsch(sp?), and I loved the stain glass partitions. The chocolate crapes and chocolate chip pancakes were superb. If I'm ever back in Chicago area, I'll eat here again.

Had a great brunch after a procedure, great comfort food. Had the potato pancakes with sausages on the side. Exactly what I hoped for.
