I used to absolutely LOVE this place. It’s very sad watching it go so downhill after 3 years of a successful business. The new head manager soon to be owner has destroyed schlafly. The food is absolutely nothing compared to what it used to be. Over salted, switched recipes, and so many changes. Oscar the new manager treats his employees extremely bad and clearly has no passion for the business. They have lost many loyal employees due to his management and loyal customers. I’m very disappointed, but please do not give this man your business anymore.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant. It’s very unfortunate that Oscar became the new manager. The changes he has made are absolutely going to ruin/ lead to it ultimately shutting down. The food used to be good quality and made with high end ingredients and he switched everything to cheap ingredients and clearly isn’t a good chef. He also fired most of the original employees that have been working for 3+ years with no explanation or reason. I will never support a man with no integrity or respect for employees that have the passion to work and have been working for longer than he has been there.

I have been to this location a few times and I am genuinely very dissatisfied and disgusted with this place. I found out that they don’t clean the pizza oven which makes sense when I eat it and it taste horrible. I can tell the new owner does not care about their quality of food since I noticed they got rid of their pickles and use processed cheese and a lot of their food isn’t homemade anymore. Genuinely sad how bad this restaurant has gone.
Had a wonderful lunch. Food and service were exceptional. We had the meatloaf and schnitzel. Loved the decor/atmosphere in the old bank building. Highly recommend

Stopped by for our anniversary...we were greeted and seated promptly! For a Thursday afternoon it, it was pretty quiet. We engaged in conversations with the owner/staff. What a wonderful time we had!!! The food was amazing....I learned a lot about the business and will happily go back every chance we get!!!

Food was delicious. Service was a little to be desired for my liking. Not that it was bad. Had to ask for silverware with my burger and fries. Had to ask for ketchup. But she did bring me and my buddy a pitcher of iced tea at our request rather than running multiple trips as the two of us can drink a lot of cold iced tea as we were hot and thirsty. She tried to take my order before my buddies wife and I had to tell her let the lady go first. Then she asked if separate checks or together. I told her one check and that I would get it. When she later brought it she laid it down in front of my buddies wife. I'm like what the heck is up with this? Either way my buddy got the check then and she still got a good tip.
I stopped by this quaint restaurant and I liked it. They have a variety of beers. The menu offers a variety of tasty options. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating available. It was a favorable experience.

We only had a couple of beers here, but they were great! The food coming out while we were there looked (and smelled) amazing but we weren't eating. The service was great and we sat on the large outdoor patio. Will definitely visit again if we're ever back in Highland!
