My boyfriend and I were coming home from Florida and we were so hungry! My boyfriend pulled into Bucky's, you can't miss it, there is a huge sign! The gas station is huge, it reminds me of a Walmart! There are more than enough gas pumps. There are delis, clothing and much more! You will not be disappointed!

I'll be honest, I was only half joking when I mentioned to my hubby that I should review this gas station--especially since we've been going out of our way lately to drop by for gas. On a whim I looked to see if there was a listing for this place, and low and behold this station already has a following! If you're headed north to Lake Forest, this is your last gas station stop for awhile. The prices are competitive, there's easy in and out access, and the pumps are spread out nicely and rarely any congestion. Note: If you need air for your tires, it's not free. The price has gone up to $1.50. We gave a guy some $ the other day because he needed an additional quarter ;-) And there you have it...my official gas station review!

Literally 20 minutes ago I drove by a Buckeys station in Vernon Hills that was selling gas for 2.13 a gallon. The same gas station in highland park selling the same exact gas was selling it for 2.59 a gallon. Same state, same county same company same gas and yet Buckeys rips off EVERYONE that stops there by 20%!!!!!! Seriously they are the worst!!!

I've been coming to this gas station for years. Last week I bought a car wash but didn't use it because it was rainy. I decided use it this morning. I went through the car wash and when I was finished, I pulled into the Starbucks parking lot next door to wipe it down. It was then that I noticed that the wash didn't rinse and that there was a film residue over the entire car, particularly the windows. I worked for probably ten or fifteen minutes to get it off. Finally I thought - this is nonsense. I'm going back next door to the station to get my money back. I go into the store, and explained the situation to the person at the counter. The person offered to give me another car wash. Of course I don't want another car wash. I'm not interested in adding to the film that's already all over my car. I have to go get the car washed somewhere else already to undo what this car wash has just done. I'd like a refund, and I said so. Next, the person wanted to go outside and look at my car. Cool. Let's go. From the moment this person saw my car, they began just repeating over and over that the tires don't look wet. I pointed out water on the door, water on the roof, and the film on the windows. But the tires aren't wet. Never mind that you can tell that it's just been through a car wash because the wheels show the streaks where the machine was, and wasn't. Same with the roof. Unfortunately this person couldn't see the roof, which is black. It was painfully obvious that the car had just been through a car wash. We go back inside, and this person again wants to offer me another car wash. No, again, I don't want to do to my car what was just done. I want my money back because I'm going to have to get another car wash and as I understand it, the point of a car wash is to clean the car, not to create the need for another car wash. Then I suggested that the car wash must have a log of uses and to look there, since it was obvious that this person was inferring that I'm a liar and that I have nothing better to do with my day than to stand around in a (not much of a) convenience store and try to weasel ten dollars out of someone?? This person then tells me that the car wash log only shows someone coming through at 5:00am. So either that log is broken, or this person is now not being truthful. Over ten dollars. Then this person said they were going to look at the security camera footage. I then stood there for probably ten or fifteen more minutes. Finally growing impatient, the employee comes out and says that there's no footage of me going through the car wash. This person is now clearly calling me a liar. I asked this person to show me the footage. We then went to the security display which was a monitor that didn't look like it worked very well. This person scanned the footage in front of me going back just a few minutes. First off, it's already been fifteen minutes since this person said they were going to look at footage. They clearly weren't looking back far enough, and I told them that. This person backed it up a little more and then FINALLY said - I don't want to argue. No, you just want to call me a liar instead of parting with the ten dollars I'm owed because your car wash doesn't work. It was clear to me that this person didn't really know what or when on the footage they needed to be looking for and perhaps moreover didn't know how to use the equipment. Finally, we went back to the counter and I was begrudgingly given the refund. I left the store. And I still had to wash the windows to get the film off so that I could drive home by way of another car wash. Like I said, I've been a customer of that store for years. How dare they accuse me of being dishonest over ten f****** dollars. I promise I will never set foot in that store again and I'm going to tell every single person I know that might be in that area looking for gas this entire story and to ensure that no one I
