A great restaurant and staff, only issues - we were put at a table next to the thermostat which staff was constantly adjusting and the ribeye was not cooked to order
Don't waste your money on this restaurant. Grossly overpriced. We ordered fish and shrimp dishes and they were both dry and overcooked. Poor presentation. Go to other restaurants in Highland Park, Wilmette, or Winnetka for quality food. We had seen the relatively good reviews for Froggy's so we went...what a mistake.
This place is a French gem. We loved the soft French music playing in the background, the specials of the day, the special wine offering, and the ambiance. I wanted to have the sweetbreads, which are hard to find on menus, but I could not get beyond the Wellington of pheasant, which was delicious. We already booked again and plan to eat the sweetbreads, but then again, we have not seen the specials of the day yet! Merci beaucoup, chef!
Have wanted to come here for decades so my expectations were high and I was not disappointed. The room is quaint and interesting, service good and the food exceptionally good. I highly recommend Froggy's. It's a wonderful French dining experience and can't wait to go back.
Dining at Froggy's is always a wonderful experience! Food, service and ambience is excellent. Thierry, Chef and owner, goes out of his way to speak with you to ensure a great experience. Enjoy!
Perfect ambience for a special occasion. Appreciate that the Maître d' and serve took notice of the anniversary celebration I mentioned in our reservation. Food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Froggy's has been a family favorite for decades. It is beloved by four generations of our family and never disappoints. The food is outstanding and the menu is updated very often. I request that profiteroles be added to the dessert menu. Other than that - zero complaints.
Not sure why this place is still open! From the dust in the room to the smell of the fish...just the absolute worst experience!
Froggy's has remained consistently good for decades. The food is creative and always prepared brilliantly at a very reasonable price. The service is also excellent, though the restaurant is a bit dated. Still, it is unfortunate that it seems to have lost its popularity to trendier new places that do not measure up to this old time classic.
The dining experience at Froggy's is unsurpassed on the North Shore. The authentic Parisian decor provides an inviting environment to enjoy a wonderful dinner. The menu is truly comprehensive, with many items found nowhere else. My wife and I each started with soup: the special mushroom and the classic onion. Both were excellent. But the game specials made the evening: my wife had the Boar Wellington and beef bourgignon duo, and I had the trio of venison, duck, and rabbit. All five meats were incredibly different and amazingly delicious. The wine list was massive, French, and reasonably priced. Last but not least, our server Annette was tremendous, guiding us through that great menu! She was so personable, efficient and attentive; she definitely added to the dinner's enjoyment. This meal overall was so memorable; looking forward to next time!

Food is always excellant! Staff is knowledgeable and informative. Able to adhere to diatary restrictions easily. Chef always makes time to check on diners. Always a great experience!
We loved sitting on the patio. The wine list was excellent. The food was very good and we had an amazing time.
We were celebrating a graduation and birthday. It was the perfect place for that. Our food was outstanding, the service superb and we all had a wonderful, memorable time!
The presentation is a little sloppy on the plate. Quality of meat is fair. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall, we had a very nice meal on our date night. The pate plate was quite good, with a nice variety. My sea bass was a special for the day and was very tender and the sauce was excellent. My wife's shrimp and pasta was from the regularly menu and seemed a bit blah. Perhaps there are too many dishes in the menu and they should stick to specials of the day. The service was excellent and the meal was timed beautifully. My cappuccino at the end was not good at all - almost burnt.
