Greenwood American Kitchen & Bar

First time eating at Greenwood. The food was very good. We ordered calamari, which tasted unique in a good way, with the chopped marinated veggies. The beef filet was melt in your mouth tender. The only complaint is it was too salty. Brussels sprouts were also delicious.

The old fashion and manhattan were well made. It was a nice touch that the waiter asked us what bourbon or whiskey we wanted them made with.

We reserved in the dining room and the hostess could not find our reservation. We offered to show it to her, and she said no need , then put us at the very corner of the patio which was noisy, with uncomfortable chairs. For the first 15 min there was no one on the patio of in the restaurant. We couldn’t hear each other over the street traffic.

It was nice to be able to valet.

Big group went for dinner(10). Great service. Food was good. The staff are very nice. We had a good time!

Great food! Amazing Salads. The place has a great atmosphere, wait staff is very nice but SLOW. Busy Friday night they have to do better. Note to management, when you have mostly adults and people bring in young children that scream get an area away from people who want to talk.

We had a delicious dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious, appetizers, entrees, wine, & dessert, great service, and a nice atmosphere!

My girlfriend had the salmon with mushrooms and ended up with food poisoning. Pretty disappointing for a restaurant of this quality. The salad was pretty good though.

Response to owner: My girlfriend and I had the exact same breakfast and lunch from the same container. The only thing we ate differently that day was the salmon at greenwood. Before trying to accuse me of making false accusations I would maybe start checking to make sure no one else gets food poising in the coming days from the same dish.

What a amazing place. Two bars, plenty of seating. Nice mix of outdoor and indoor. Chicken BLT was great. It’s big, good selection if you want to split. Lemon chicken was cooked to perfection with a nice lemon taste. Turkey burger was nicely seasoned. The fries (ordered crispy) came out excellent. The server was very nice, however missed asking for additional drinks and a coffee we ordered.

What a wonderful experience! We had the Best Service from Felix and the entire Staff! The food was delicious and drinks were so tasty! So glad that we went here for oir Anniversary! The outdoor seating was lovely. We really enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. Would definitely recommend for couples, families and groups.

Great dinner experience. Service was on point and everything was delicious. We had the cheeseburger, the cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and some kind of shared goat cheese and marinara bowl with bread for dipping.

The staff, management and Chef are amazing. We are regulars at this establishment for a reason. The reason is their ability to understand their guest! My special needs son had a moment where I have to leave before I ate and with his to go food. The Chef, Manager, and servers took amazing care of my daughter and hubby and made sure to send my favorite items home with him so I had dinner.

This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better.The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good.The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners.The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.

went for v-day with the wife: very busy, bad service; the staff were not attentive or reallt doing much. good food, but very small for the price, wouldnt call two medium crab cakes for $19 a great price. decent but probably won't be returning.
