Worst MoMo ever.!!! Keema tastes sour, no flavor just sour and chewy. Achar is also same water rundown with no spice no salt.. had to wait around 20 minutes to get someone’s attention at reception after ordering through uber eats for pickup..

I spent some time in Nepal several years ago, so I’m always on the hunt for good momos, especially veggie. So I was thrilled to find this place. I was with my family, who sampled the butter chicken momos, which they pronounced delicious. Around the table we also had gobi alou, sag paneer, veggie byrhani, chicken curry, chicken masala, and of course samosas and nan plus a mango shake. All was delicious, and a good value for the high quality food.

As for the ambiance, it was lovely and not crowded on a Sunday night. I have been in a Himalayan hut, and while this beautiful restaurant looks nothing like that tiny hut, the welcome and friendliness were the same! Thank you for a terrific meal.

I’m basic and got the butter chicken, and oh my, it was probably the best I’ve ever had. Rich tomato flavor, and the naan was fresh too. Wish I lived closer, I’d be back often. The place was very quiet and the staff were super attentive. Highly recommend!

This is the best tasting Indian food in the north shore. It’s incredible. The butter chicken is awesome and the garlic naan is amazing and flakey and good flavor. Highly highly recommend coming here.

Himalayan Curry Hut is my go-to for hearty, authentic Himalayan and Indian cuisine—whether I’m stopping by for the buffet or grabbing takeout. Let me know if you’d like a shorter version or one for posting online!

I just moved to the area and was super excited to see Indian and Nepalese food within walking distance. I was less than impressed with this one to say the least. I walked in at 7 on a Friday and only 1 other table in a pretty run down dining room. That raised some concerns that I should have adhered to. The curries were below average at best, the tandoori platter was dry and flavorless and the naan was undercooked and doughy. The only thing I enjoyed was the beer, but that night they were out of a couple so if you want Taj Mahal or Haywards 5000 beer go here. Otherwise I can’t recommend it.

I hadnt been for a while. They seem to be taken over by new management. The food was really good. Full of flavor i would expect from a curry. Previous managements food was a bit bland, but this was an explosion of flavor.

Ordered the chicken tandoori and it was clearly old—tasted like it had been sitting for days. When I brought it up, they just insisted it was fresh and did nothing about it. Very disappointing.

Phenomenal food. My favorite dish is the Himalayan goat curry. The only downside is whenever I go, there is no music playing and the silence makes for a bit of an awkward atmosphere.

Exceptional Flavors in a Cozy Atmosphere!

I was at the Himalayan Curry Hut in Highwood for lunch which delivers bold and authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine that truly impresses. The momo and chicken Tandoori are standout dishes—rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The service is warm and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. While there was a slight inconsistency with the tandoori being a bit overcooked, it didn’t overshadow the deliciousness of the meal. This spot is worth a return visit!

The momos and their Chicken Tandoori hot sauce are amazing.
