This local chop suey shop is an absolute gem! The flavors are authentic and the portions are generous. Their Shrimp fried rice is the best. It's perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flavor. Went there since 1987. Never again. Ordered shrimp fried rice and came home with pork fried rice. Asked for shrimp egg foo Yong and got chicken. Asked for the gravy to be in a separate container. Came in same container and no rice. Shrimp chow main Cantonese style came with half over cooked noodles and half undercooked. Now go to China Town restaurant in Mundelein. Good food and better quantity and prices. Very friendly service whereas Mee Jun was rude.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Lo mein was horribly dry and the exterior of the dumplings was thick and gummy. Beef in the lo mein tasted terrible. Definitely should try another place.
