This place used to be the best 10 years ago. They used to have huge portions and the tastiest orange chicken you could find in the Highwood Area. Now, the food tastes like it came from a frozen box. They also say they're open until 9, but the dine in was closed at 8. Staff was also rude and looked at us like we were a problem. I would give this place 0 out of 5 if I could.

This local chop suey shop is an absolute gem! The flavors are authentic and the portions are generous. Their Shrimp fried rice is the best. It's perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flavor. Went there since 1987. Never again. Ordered shrimp fried rice and came home with pork fried rice. Asked for shrimp egg foo Yong and got chicken. Asked for the gravy to be in a separate container. Came in same container and no rice. Shrimp chow main Cantonese style came with half over cooked noodles and half undercooked. Now go to China Town restaurant in Mundelein. Good food and better quantity and prices. Very friendly service whereas Mee Jun was rude.
