Had a fantastic lunch outside at Miramar today. Service was outstanding. Everything delicious!
Fish was not fresh. The broth on the mussels was wonderful, but the mussels themselves were tasteless. Twotop table was very small.Could barely fit the dining plates let alone anything that was served. The waitstaff was very attentive and tried their best.
The French Onion Soup is a cheesy highlight. Intriguing music matches the French-forward atmosphere. Solid and popular menu, outdoor seating with doors opening to the sidewalk, romantic touches like dripping tapers at each table. An energetic neighborhood spot.
Our sea bass and Dover sole were delicious. Our server, Sebastian, was attentive and delightful. We enjoyed a lovely order of profiteroles to celebrate our friend's birthday. The only negative was an extremely noisy table of six next to us making it very difficult to hear one another. We will definitely return.
Exceptional food, fare, and service! Calamari, light and crispy, pate and mussels absolutely divine! Sandwiches exceptional. Frozen daiquiri, the best! Sandwiches and frites fresh, well-prepared and very generous. Chocolate terrine incredible. Staff wear white jackets. Decor funky and wonderful. Very consistent service. Perfect choice for any occasion. Excellent place after enjoying the Chicago Botanic Gardens, or just anytime. My favorite place!
Food and service were both great, but we were put in an enclosed room with a big party, and I ended up shouting all night so my friend and I could hear each other talk.
Great food and service, though rather expensive. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Can't wait to go back!
The original server that started our table disappeared and never returned to us! Had to ask for someone to help us! Very disappointed with overall experience.
Had a hankerin' for steak frites and there is no place better! It's cooked perfectly every time I go there and the wine menu never disappoints.
Fantastic service you just don't see at many restaurants today. Wonderful food that is uniquely at Miramar. Looking forward to our next visit.

The service was good, unfortunately the food was quite mediocre. The calamari we ordered was very chewy and stale, the Caesar salad lacked seasoning and was quite bland, and the steak frites we ordered were average. The restaurant itself was most charming and had great service. If only the food was decent.
The steak and frits were very good. The bouillabaisse was not as good as in the past. The shrimp and calamari in it were over done, but still tasty.
Thank you for being open all day, having fabulous casual to gourmet options, having a wonderful staff, and having wonderful wine and cocktail choices. A true neighborhood asset.
Very noisy. Unable to hear the people at our fourtop. Not conducive to an enjoyable dining experience.
Wonderful. Great atmosphere and good food. Not too fussy. Service was attentive and food was very good. Will definitely be back.
