My experience at Miramar was amazing, the food was spectacular and really tasted amazing, our server, Sebastian really made us feel welcome and was really what made us feel special, If you are planning on visiting I would definitely recommend him, not only was he great in recommending dishes but really went the extra mile in being great. Enjoyed a great meal at this Italian spot in Highwood, Illinois. What really stood out was the service—absolutely phenomenal. Our server, Memo, was exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive, making our experience unforgettable. The atmosphere was fantastic, too. This is probably the best Italian restaurant in Highwood. Highly recommend.

Was looking forward to lunch here. Ordered the dover sole.This was the worse piece of fish I have ever had. It was fishyand over cooked .. so very dry. Another had the scallopsand thought the sauce was just weird tasting. Service nothing special. We should of sent the fish back and ordered a burger

We were celebrating my husband's birthday and we had a very difficult time getting the waiter's attention. We were there 40 min before we ordered an appetizer. We then had to wait to order our entrees and again to order dessert. Given that it was a special evening and pricey, we were disappointed that he was not more responsive.

I am a regular patron. I have brought my friends here once before and they really had a good time. So we all decided to return last night. Two of my friends left with massive headaches due to the extreme noise in the back room where we were seated. A group of diners were so LOUD that we had to scream at each other to be able to converse. We can't scream from 6:15 to 8:45 pm. Very frustrating evening. The food and service were terrific but we also wanted to be able to converse which was impossible last night. We have decided to go somewhere else for our next get together.

We ended up here without a reservation on a Saturday night. Got seated in one of the side rooms and it was very pleasant. Staff was efficient, food was good, and the meal proceeded at the right pace. The candles are a bit kitch, but overall a really nice experience. We will go back to Miramar.

In our top 5 experiences that we can remember and we dine out a lot. We were there on a Sunday night so not crazy busy but the food and service felt like it was a Saturday. Absolutely fantastic! This is a 40min drive for us from the city. Our friends thought we were out of our minds to drive them to the suburbs for French food. They too were sold and will definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Miramar. It has that European charm, transporting you to a different realm. Each dish we ordered was exceptionally delicious, and the service, particularly from our server was outstanding. Their attentiveness and efficiency elevated the overall experience. I definitely plan on returning here in the future with friends and family.

Casually elegant dining room — rich, red leather upholstered chairs and booths, wood paneled and candle lit. Genuinely friendly and attentive service. French food, excellently prepared and reasonably priced. The Dover Sole in brown butter, lemon and caper sauce was delicious.
