Doesn’t have any food really but their muffins are pretty good. The cappuccino is strong and the baristas seem to really know coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and happy, although it gets pretty crowded during the weekend. There is plenty of outdoor space and shares the space with billy bricks pizza and ice cream. What more could you need?

Love the location (close to my house!), and the interesting drink options. The lattes are delicious. Plentiful tables to sit at. Staff is friendly and very quick with their orders.

Coffee is great. Have it usually at Hewn in Evanston. Sadly I will go there instead and Peets because your baked goods are awful. Check out Hewn and Peets to see what good baked goods are.

Perfect place to run into all kinds of people! For example people from high school who you forgot about but now feel the need to impress, bikers who don’t know how to share the road and wear obnoxious neon, and weird hipsters who are really thrilled to tell anyone who will listen that they’re having coffee in a converted firehouse. Coffee is excellent and decorations remind me of being at a sleepover in grade 4 at my slightly too secular friend’s house.

The staff and space is very inviting and bright. Nice sunny location. Very clean. Knowledgeable and welcoming staff. They have a huge patio that looks great. Did not have the chance to enjoy as it was 20* outside.

We love Tala. The specialty lattes are definitely the way to go- it's what makes Tala special. The staff are friendly and chill. They don't have high chairs, which makes sense since the vibe is work from home, work meetings and students studying. Also- the apple fritters are the best thing ever and she have to get them early in the morning because they will sell out. The donuts are pretty good too but the apple fritters are divine.
