It had been many years since my visit to the charming hamlet of Hinkley Illinois. We strapped on the feed bag for an early supper so the crowd was small and the service was great. Rebecca was awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. I had their patty melt which was substantial. The "fried potato salad " had a nice mustardy/vinegary zing and a generous portion of bacon bits mixed in. Great food every time we visit. I especially go for the soup and have never been disappointed. Prices are good and staff is nice. Atmosphere is cozy especially in winter but cool in the summer.
