Well got the sausage slice and it was terrible, tasteless, unsavory. Barely any sauce on it, cheese portion was ok, sausage portion very light. Service and atmosphere were amazing. I wish the pizza was tastier!

We had plans for another place for lunch, until we walked in a got an unstoppable craving for pizza based on the smells alone. This place is the epitome of small cozy food spot. They know a lot about where they source their ingredients from, and they have ingredients that make it easier for those with gluten issues (real flour instead of cauliflower crust!) They make a lot of pizzas and dishes that can be taken and baked at home, but we got a couple pizzas cooked there and they were delicious. I’m glad this place isn’t down the street or I would spend way too much here all the time. 10/10 Owners are super nice too!

The take home pizza is phenomenal! I've gotten the magherita and pesto. The quality and freshness really standout. I never feel bloated or bad after I eat it. I love that the ingredients are from Italy. The owner is very kind and helpful.

Very cute store - small but adorable and I always find something else I want when I walk in - dessert, wine, or focaccia. Love the pizza with kale and sausage and absolutely amazing artichoke “pate” which is vegan and so fresh and delicious! Love love love

This place has amazing pizza. They import their flour from Italy and you can tell the difference. I am gluten sensitive and I can eat their pizza without trouble. We prefer the take and bake. The pizza came out hot and delicious.
LOVE!!! Best Pizza I’ve EVER had as it’s imported dough from Italy that actually makes me feel nourished & NOT BLOATED after eating!!! This especially amazing since I’m gluten intolerant and cannot eat our American wheat here in the states but can eat regular Italian wheat without issues!! Just wish you were closer to Bourbonnais!!! It’s worth the hour drive up tho!!! A food company you can trust!!! How nice for a change!! Always enjoy talking with the friendly owner- knowledgeable about their products!!!! Highly recommend!!!

I'm from Pittsburgh and I'm visiting... While riding my bike through Hinsdale I saw the restaurant and it looked amazing... I wouldn't consider myself a pizza connoisseur but I have tasted many different varieties of pizza... I can't say how disappointed I was in the quality of the pizza that I received... it literally was terrible... there was no cheese there was no sauce... I felt like I was eating crust that tasted like shoe leather.. very disappointed...would not recommend Altamura..

Carmela is such a kind hearted person who really takes care of her customers. The food is absolutely delicious and tastes like Italy. As someone with Celiac disease, I trust eating here as they make as they take my disease very seriously when making gluten free pizza. The crust is perfectly crunchy and the red sauce is the best sauce I’ve ever had in my life. Definitely safe for other gf people.
