This place has amazing pizza. They import their flour from Italy and you can tell the difference. I am gluten sensitive and I can eat their pizza without trouble. We prefer the take and bake. The pizza came out hot and delicious.
LOVE!!! Best Pizza I’ve EVER had as it’s imported dough from Italy that actually makes me feel nourished & NOT BLOATED after eating!!! This especially amazing since I’m gluten intolerant and cannot eat our American wheat here in the states but can eat regular Italian wheat without issues!! Just wish you were closer to Bourbonnais!!! Altamura is delicious and of the highest quality. I love the pizzas, salads, tortellini soup, meatballs, and always keep some eggplant Parmesan in my freezer - it is the best! Carmella goes above and beyond with creative solutions when entertaining and Altamura is always a hit. Do not miss the Hinsdale gem!
