If you want microwaved nachos, this is the place for you. Staying at the hotel for the week and have had several drinks at the bar. Asked the bartender if the chicken and cheese were supposed to be cold. She took my food aways saying they’d remake it. When the chips came back brown I knew they either put it in the microwave or oven to heat it up. Chicken and cheese were still cold. Walked in the cold from the warmth of my hotel to get a better meal down the road. Don’t eat here

I was here for an event. The bar and waitstaff were completely rude and unprofessional. For a Saturday night they were completely unprepared for any level of service. Drinks order were taking 30+ mins to be served, if served at all. Since items were being rung up and never made - I was critical about the bill and them over charging us.
Manny Singh, regional manager/owner at Marriott, promised to credit once the weekend was over on Monday and we even exchanged numbers and he never got back to me after multiple attempts. Total liar on his word.
I do not recommend and will not change my review unless I get contacted to fix the issue.

Honestly the worst Bar Louie location I’ve ever been to, heard of, could imagine. Normally a pretty consistent place location to location, this place stands out for poor service. Went to the bar to order another round of cocktails after waiting an inordinate amount of time for our server to return and was told the server would be “right with you”. I asked if I could just order from the bar since obviously our server hadn’t been there in a long enough time that I chose to come order through them. When given the bill, there was an additional food item no one at our table had ordered, such poor service there was no way we were waiting for the server to finally grace us again to remove it.

Went there on Saturday, atmosphere and comfortability was out the window. You got the tables next to us screaming and hollering, the server came 1 time to check up on us the entire time. We wanted to order food, had only gotten to order a drink and fries. Not attentive at all and service was absolutely garbage . The fries were barely mid. Waited so long for them to come get the check by that time they said kitchens closed. They got lucky I waited that long and had the patience, most people would’ve just left.

Decent food, but poor service. Only one other table with two people in the entire restaurant, yet the server was never around. Makes for dining out frustrating.

My family and I checked this place out for the first time today. We ordered three side salads and some meals. Our server was super nice and friendly, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. But when everything came out, it was all at once, and the burgers and fries were cold. And the salads... well, it was pretty obvious they tried to hide old, gross rotten lettuce at the bottom with some fresh stuff on top. Totally inedible. Our waitress offered to get us new ones, but we said no thanks. Then, when we got the bill, they still charged us for them. Seriously, Bar Louie, do better.

This experience was dreadful, run far from this Bar Louie restaurant in the Hoffman Estates Marriott. We have been to other Bar Louie's and were excited to hear one opened near our home.
The actual restaurant ambience was nice. It is brand new, nice furniture, very clean, tv's all over to watch sports. It clearly caters to the hotel, but should be a go to spot for the neighborhood if it was run properly.
But the service was painfully slow, and the food was literally inedible.
The kitchen messed everything up, and seems this was a problem with everyone's table, as all the server's were very frustrated with the kitchen.
All of our food was made wrong and had to be redone (after waiting 45 minutes to get it in the first place). The Monterrey chicken was literally inedible, one piece was so overcooked I couldn't even cut it with a knife, the other was still pink/rubbery on the inside. And it was missing the sauce. The vegetables were like soggy noodles.
The sliders were ok, nothing to write home about.
Nachos - do you like stale chips and chewy pulled chicken?
Restaurant may look nice, but if the food is terrible and not edible, (and WAY overpriced for what it is) it is not a restaurant worth going to.
And despite all of the issues we had, not once did a manager ever come by. Probably why the kitchen is such a disaster, no management.
They probably have a captive audience with hotel guests, but if you live in the area, don't bother with this place. They comped our food which is appreciated, but that was the right thing to do. There is a reason Bar Louie has filed for bankruptcy - twice. If this location is still open in 6 months, I'll be shocked.

I spent 3 nights here. The hotel is really nice in my opinion. First night was a Friday night. Ordered some alcoholic drinks that were really good. The Thai calamari & Louie burger and fries. Food was great, bartenders that night were really great. Second night. Different crew and the restaurant was pretty packed believe the Milwaukee brewers were playing the cubs to wrap up the series. So yea that was the atmosphere of that night vs Friday night super lowkey fast service. Obviously it was harder to get served that night. I got burnt tenders and the wrong food . So I had to return it immediately. Which was already after waiting an extensive time to even get water to our table. So yea took away from the experience overall. Each visit spent over 100$. Oh and I got that chocolate cake dessert, it was nasty. They had breakfast. Breakfast was good . However, we were told that breakfast came with the room. Every morning we went down for it. The morning of our departure we were met at our table (after we already began eating) how we were going to pay for the food. Nobody discussed / disclosed that you had to have a voucher or pay at the desk. We were told at check in it was covered. Obviously had to escalate it . Still felt like an explanation was not clear. I pretty much answered it myself. So the communication of the staff to customer could definitely use some work. Overall stay was good . Hotel was nice and clean. Only took pics of the good looking food from Friday night & the breakfast.

Food was just gross. Salmon had a popcorn butter sauce on it that literally made it taste like fishy popcorn. Nothing was seasoned. Everything about this place is mid.
