Frank's Chicago Shrimp House

You got to try this place. I don't know how or why they have fresh seafood in the middle of the Midwest but for this kind of flavor I'm not asking questions. Next time I'm doing frog legs

The food was nothing to write home about. Too much breading on the shrimp, I think they double dipped in bread crumbs.By the time I peeled off the breading, shrimp were pretty small. Dons Dock in Desplaines is much better and have a much bigger menu, including jambalaya.

I had to travel to Chicago for good Shrimp, I had a cousin who recommended this restaurant. Once I tried it, I was hooked. Now I visit 3 or 4 times a month. The staff is always so inviting and Customer focus. Once I inform them of crackers, they immediately know it's me. I would recommend this restaurant to Family and Friends 💞 Give them a try, You won't be disappointed

Franks has done us solid several years in a row for Christmas Eve with the family. I personally prefer the boiled over fried because it takes us awhile to serve and the breaded is really meant to eat right away. But you can't go wrong
They will send you out in paper bags so have warming trays and serving spoons as well as labels for the different seasonings at the ready.

Great large tasty shrimp. Small restaurant but has seating. We go for the food, that's what it's all about. Oh, and we drive from Lake Geneva, WI. Enough said.

This place is just a big fry house. Nothing special and I'm sure if you asked to have your shoe fried they would do it.

No special seasoning or sides just fried food and same batter for nearly everything

I ordered takeout from this restaurant. The place looks nice and has a pleasant, themed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the service was good. However, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. The fried shrimp had an unusual plastic-like smell — maybe the oil hadn’t been changed recently. The fried vegetables were better and had a nicer taste. Overall, it’s a nice spot, but the food quality could be improved! Special oil

Franks Chicago Style Shrimp with the spicy BBQ always a hit!

I USUALLY LOVE THE SCALLOPS HERE SO I DECIDED TO STOP AND GET SOME. I ORDERED FRIED SCALLOPS AND TRIED THE FRIED OYSTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE SCALLOPS WAS JUICY AS USUAL . THE OYSTERS TASTED UNCLEAN AND LIKE POOP. THAT WAS ALL I ATE THAT DAY. ABOUT 2 HOURS IN I BLACKED OUT FEELING NAUSEOUS. I HAVE VOMIT AND DIARRHEA AND CANT STAND UP WITHOUT FEELING DIZZY AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH. FOOD POISONING AT ITS BEST. CURRENTLY GETTING READY TO HEAD TO EMERGENCY ROOM. DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION AND THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER

My daughter loved it! Me not so much. Service was fast, employees were very friendly. I just didn't like the taste of the jumbo shrimp, Calamari or the catfish.
