Korean restaurant was amazing!

The broth was full of flavor, warm, and a little bit spicy. It felt really comforting.

The best part? They brought it out still boiling right in front of us! It was hot, fresh, and super fun to watch.

Authentic Korean food, family-style. It takes a little longer to cook the food but the wait is definitely worth it! No tips needed bc self-service.

Always a satisfying meal here. Don't know how the owner/chef manages to run the entire place basically by himself.

The food was really good and it was authentic, probably a hidden gem. The owner was really friendly and he seemed really hardworking bc he was the only one running the kitchen and the counter. The cheol-pan dishes are good and my mom who was a korean liked the soondubu (soft tofu) stew. The music is also a good touch, I liked the classical music.

My son said he felt the pain of braking his tooth by chewing a small nail in his mouth while eating. Fortunately it didn't break but it would have been big trouble if he swallowed it.
He told the owner, but he did nothing. I don't know if he ignored him because he was a student.
He said to me he never go to the restaurant again!!!

Go Goo Ma Korean Restaurant is a real hidden gem of a place. The place has easy parking right in front. The dining room is spotless and offers comfortable seating. Even if you’re not familiar with Korean food, they have pictures of all the entrees coinciding with a number and spelled out in English so it’s very easy.
We ordered the Beef Stew with noodles #10 & Sweet & Sour Sizzling Chicken #6. They both came with a couple delicious bon chon (side dishes) as well as a nice dish of rice and my chicken even had a little bowl of soup!

The service was very friendly and the food was made to order and it’s fresh. They also provide free buckwheat tea which is really nice in cold months and iced tea in summer.

Both entrees were very good and served steaming hot. The stew was in a bowl that kept it hot while eating. The sizzling chicken came out on a heated platter with the sauce on the side to drizzle. Portions are plentiful, authentic and delicious.

This is a very nice place to relax and enjoy a meal as it’s pretty quiet inside.

This has been my favorite place to go to since I moved to Schaumburg. It’s become a comfort food for sure! Whether you get take out or eat in, it’s always fresh. Friday nights can be busy, but having patience with the owner (the cook) is worth it! I brought my family and they can be picky with food, but they enjoyed it a lot!

This is a self-serve korean restaurant that serves a limited but tasty menu! Their squid dolsot was flavorful with carrots, peppers, carrots, and onions and served with seasoned sprouts and shredded lettuce. Simple banchan but soooo tasty! Would recommend if you're looking for a casual restaurant vibe!

Not the best Korean spot, but not the worst. My daughter and I ate here on a Saturday early afternoon. Totally empty, and the restaurant's style was bare bones. It is located in a very quiet and unfrequented area of Hoffman Estates.

PRICE: For the price, the portions should be much bigger. And I think that I paid $3 for a regular can of Diet Coke, which is asinine.

FOOD: In my opinion, a true Korean restaurant ought to have at least 3-4 true banchan side dishes, not just one plus a salad (if you can even call shredded cabbage/lettuce with dressing that) and a broth likely made from packaged seasoning.

SUGGESTION: Increase the quantity of the entrees. Add more banchan selections, maybe even letting the customer choose which banchan to reduce waste. Lower the price of drinks.

There are so many better options in the northwest suburbs. I think that this is a one and done spot for us. We aren't returning here. But I guess in that part of Hoffman Estates, this is the best they have.

A friend recommended this place and it was a super cute place. The food was fresh and hands down a 10/10. Love the environment and how it’s a smaller business. This place deserves so much love!
