Hunan had been in business for 35 years and prospered in the food industry. During my high school days, my friends and I went off-campus for lunch to eat at Hunan Beijing. They had a variety of lunch specials and we ordered from that section because it was a great food package deal and we were broke high school students... haha. We always left the restaurant satisfied and full. My favorite lunch special was the Kung Pao Chicken extra spicy no peanuts. It was cooked to perfection and the flavor never changed from first time I consumed it and years after. Always stayed consistent and no other Chinese restaurant prepared and cooked it like Hunan did. Over the years, many memories were made with friends and family at Hunan Beijing or at events that I brought Hunan food items to. After 35 years of business, a friend told me about Hunan Beijing closing on March 31, 2022. I was shocked and sad hearing the news. I had to make sure I ate and dined in at the restaurant. I decided to dine in at Hunan Beijing 4 days in a row with my friends and I to show our support. My friends and I ordered a variety of different dishes and enjoyed every bite. For many years, Hunan Beijing had been my number one favorite and best Chinese restaurant spot to go to. I went to Hunan for any occasion -- whether it was for a celebration, hangout with friends, ordered food to bring home to family, or to eat by myself at the restaurant or at home for carry out due to me having a Hunan craving. haha.. really for any occasion. Every time I walked through those doors, I felt at home. Mr. Lee, Mama Pang, and all Hunan staff took care of my friends and I, and all customers that walked through those doors with love. Hunan had stayed consistent with their top tier customer service and how the food was prepared and cooked. The delicious taste and flavor of every dish made me want to come back for more and try other items on their menu every time I ordered from Hunan for dine in or carry out. I will never forget Hunan Beijing and will always be my number one favorite and best Chinese restaurant ever! I want to thank my friends for supporting Hunan Beijing with me til the day of closing. I also want to thank Mr. Lee, Mama Pang, and all Hunan staff for the amazing customer service and food over the 35 years of business!

Place is very dirty and disorganized. We got seated and apparently forgotten about for 20mins do yourself a favor stay away from this dirty place. Hope the Health Department shuts them down.

I am so disgusted by the service I experienced here. Walked in with my two little girls to initially order a take away. After paying, my kids decided they wanted to sit and eat in the restaurant. I was told I couldn’t because they have a different menu for take away and sit in. I had ordered large shrimp rice, only to get home and find no shrimp in the rice. The rice was dry with a funny disgusting smell. I called them to complain and the old man that answers the phone couldn’t speak fluent English. What I could pick up from going back and forth was that, they couldn’t have made the mistake and that I’m lying!!!!!! ? The nerve!!!! Disgusting place! Don’t go there!!!!

One of the best and authentic restaurants in the area. Everything they have is tasty and delicious. Pretty much spot on tasty. Only thing stopping from receiving a 5th star is they use chicken thighs only.

After 25+ years we will say good bye to this gem. The Lee's have kept our palettes completely satisfied since we moved here many years ago. Good luck on your retirement, Minh, (? Spelling) we will miss you dearly. If you have never experienced their menu go quickly, it is totally worth it!!!!!

I ordered delivery and waited an hour. At the time it should have been delivered I received a notice from Grubhub that the order had been cancelled due to delivery issues but when I called the restaurant they had never received the order. Not sure this is Hunan's problem or Grubhub but now we have to make a new plan.

Wow, I am so disappointed! I used to dine here a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. This time, I was worried when I walked in to pick up my order because there was a strong smell of old grease. We ordered five dishes, and every one is the same color: brown. Hardly a hint of a vegetable, including the vegetable dish. And it all tastes off - my dining partner says “like the middle of a highway”. So sad!

I came in from NYC to help my sister take care of her newborn. After feeling under the weather on a rainy day I ordered from here and let me say what an absolutely delicious gem of a place this is. Extremely well made and flavorful, you can feel the care in each meal prepared. Thank you for nursing me back to health Hunan Beijing! Everything was incredible

The shrimp fried rice was over cooked, shrimp soggy. Shrimp toast was terrible. I used to come here prior to covid and was never this bad. Was going to have some friends come here, but It's not worth it.
