Pretty good place. Love the daily specials. It's what keeps us coming back. It's a good local sports bar with good friendly service and good food.

Im the neighbor hood and have been going there since they opened. It's a neighborhood bar in an out of the way strip mall. The food is good not great but they have good specials. The service is reasonable considering the turnover they experience as a small family owned business. The facilities are reasonable but not franchise quality. I don't understand the 1 star ratings; it seems lIke just trolling the place. It's not a dive. It used the to be a lot livelier but the village cracked down on some of their activities. Now it's just a reasonable neighborhood sports bar with a lot of regulars so the "ambience" won't compete with bars in the highfalutin shopping centers a few miles away. Nobody is going to go out of their way to party all night there, but if you're in the neighborhood looking for decent food and reasonably priced drinks it's tough to beat 1st Place.

Food is good when the bar tenders actually pay attention and take your order. Do they not realize they are working for tips? Do they get paid too much per hour?

Drinks and food are usually good, but service is very hit or miss. Last few times I've been there the bartenders have been quite/standoffish and have just had bad attitudes. I'd understand when it's busy, but when there's two bartenders working and the bar is at half capacity and I get greeted with a stern "what do you want?" and get glared at every time I want another round, it does not make me want to come back, regardless of how good the drinks are.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in the 18 years that I've been coming here. The latest bartenders are rude and entitled. Was told we were being too loud. The point of a sports bar is to root for your team and have fun. It's not a quiet place especially if your team is in the World Series, or you're winning at the slots, or cheering a teammate in darts. Maybe they should consider not blasting terrible music so you have to yell to hear each other talk.

What is the point of a sports bar If you get kicked out for cheering for your teammate for getting a bullseye in darts. No swearing, nothing inappropriate. We were told we had to be quiet because it was dinner hour, at 930 pm on a Wednesday. When we questioned it, because it didn't make sense, she started swearing at us, kicked us out and called the cops. Who of course did nothing to us. Last I checked if a sports game was on tv people would cheer. Poor management, incompetent staff and terrible atmosphere.

More like last place bar and grill. A buddy of mine and I decided to stop in to grab a drink while we were waiting on our appt next door who was running late. We walked in and sat down at the bar and was not greeted at all. Crabby a** bartender didn't even acknowledge us. She basically gave us the menu and left, so we left. Never come here again! Get better help

Where do I start. Best sandwiches in north Hoffman Estates by a mile! The reuben is to die for as well as all burger selections. All servings are well sized and quality ingredients are used across all menu items. The bar itself is an open, yet cozy, and is bery well lit for a bar/grill. The drinks are well priced and kegs are kept fresh on all brews I enjoy. Also, the staff makes this my go-to hometown bar. They are fast and great to talk to and have no problem making you feel like your at the best home town bar possible. HIGHLY recommend if you enjoy quality food, drink and company.

ESPECIALLY FOR "THE MANAGER ON DUTY". absolutely disappointed. i waited 2 years to try this place and ended up waiting OVER 30 mins for someone to even acknowledge the fact that we were even here. mind you this was on slow day. we ended up looking for some help, some service and ended up getting cursed at!!! i'm appalled. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. JUST OVERALL NOT PEOPLE PERSON HERE. they don't deserve business

Good place to hang out with friends. They have daily specials on food and drink items. There are slot machines and few arcade games to play. Bar also has several TVs where you can watch live sports.

Lived near here for almost a year. Sad I didn't stop in sooner! Came today for a drink, and, ended up getting some to go food for dinner. Good drink specials. Good food! All (or at least mostly) homemade. All other customers that were eating were saying how good their food is. I'll try mine later tonight (got some food for dinner so I don't have to cook anything later). I got their gyro and chicken quesadillas. Service is super friendly and attentive. Brittney / Brittany is a great bartender. They have slot machines as well, if that's your thing. I'm sure I'll be back often! Especially on half price chicken quesadillas day because I love quesadillas! Give them a try if you haven't. Don't be like me and wait forever to go in! Get in now and enjoy! Oh yeah, they also have saganaki!
