No payouts on the slots. When you finally go into the bonus round. Lol they're losing revenue at an alarming rate and customers.

Man! The place is always clean, free snacks like pizza, chicken tenders, and the best gummy bears I've ever had! They got all types of soda, water, beer, wine, orange & pineapple juice. They have Little bags of trail mixes, cookies (Oatmeal Raisin are the best!) Brownies, chips muffins! What else are they missing!?(Ice cream during summertime) They got all the current great games, but you know they can't fit them all in one location so they have another store 1 block away for those other games and with they same freebies snacks. Man I love this place!!!

A friend of ours recommended Spencer Garage Door Repair LLC. I am glad I listened to her and phoned them right away. They surely fixed our broken cables and springs with no difficulty. Two thumbs are up!

Service is not good due to poor management. The company requires all of this ID checking even though other similar establishments do not as it is offensive to customers. The management's lack of customer service is especially evident in their inability to take care of customers in a timely basis. My gaming machine jammed and the payout ticket would not come out of the machine. Although various people were called about this issue, I was forced to wait more than an hour for all of $40! Update: I have now been here for over 2 1/2 hours and no one from either Shelby's or Gold Rush Gaming has offered to correct this situation! If this is how customers are treated by these companies, they have no business being in business!

I love Shelby's. The food is great and love the decor, really inviting. The only complaint I have is while playing the machines the employee would stand behind the players watching them play. Most gamblers find that uncomfortable. Every time I've been in there people are winning on the machines. Sure beats driving to the casinos!

I stopped in from a friends good comments of the place and she won 500 dollars playing only the penny machine. Closer than the casinos, smaller, and staff was great. Great place to stop for beer wine and bar food morning to night. Slots fun to play even when alone. Contests held often so get on their mailing list. Staff told me another was opening down the street. Cant wait. trudy

Only wanted to buy coffee they just didn't let us in because my wife didn't have an ID. I had mine and she could've easily recommended that I get one coffee with my ID. Pretty weird and pathetic.

Worst experience ever. Would never recommend this place to anyone! They really don't know how to treat their customers. Was kinda excited to go there but extremely disappointed with the attitude of the employees.

This location used to be a Caribou Coffee, but had been empty for a while. I recently saw a new sign and decided to stop in. The front half of Shelby's has the vibe of a nice, inviting lounge similar to that of a Caribou, Starbucks, etc. but that's where the similarities end. They have a menu of appetizers, sandwiches, breakfast type foods, and in addition to standard soda/coffee selections, serve wine and beer as well. I had a chance to sample a grilled cheese on sour dough bread as a snack as I was passing through and was pleased. Where the biggest twist is... The back half of Shelby's actually hosts about 6 slot machines/video poker machines. The machines appear to be penny slots and are multifunction machines, where you can switch between a variety of slot and video poker games on the touch screens, which is nice, so you can play a variety of different games to spice things up. The service was great, as Robyn was pleasant and sociable from the get go and explained how everything worked. Sodas are comped while you are playing slots which is a nice little perk. From what I hear, more of these types of establishments are going to be popping up in the Chicagoland area. When you think of slot machines, one often conjures up seedy images of smoked filled rooms. But, this environment was clean, warm and inviting which was a nice surprise. It's not a casino by any means, but you can have a quick bite/drink and entertain yourself with some slots and get your small dopamine rush in a friendly place at the same time. I'm not sure if it's due to regulations, it'd be nice to see a few more machines maybe. But, I give the extra star due to the very welcoming and excellent service from Robyn for my first visit. Will stop by again. And maybe win back my $20 next time...haha
