The old time feel of great restaurants of my childhood hit me as I walked into Chesdans. The dark lighting with the smell of delicious Italian foods filled my dark red booth. I ordered the personal pizza with the soup of the day, tomato basil. Both so tasty and the bonus was the price. Very affordable and very home-cooked Italian meal. The service was great too. The owner even stop by to chat.

This place is decent but lacks some things. When ordering they will sometimes forget things you ask for. Even a whole meal or some sauces.The food is decent and is always fresh and hot with anything you order. I like there gyro and pizza that’s some of the best things to order.The place inside is nice but a little tight. Employees are really nice and can help you with anything you need. The owner is also a great person and is friendly and inviting.Come here for a good dinner night of delicious food and great service.

First visit, restaurant was recommended and we were waited on promptly. The waitstaff is friendly but not quite attentive. The food was delivered to the table as ordered. We sat by the front windows and that may have been our downfall for as there was nobody else in the vicinity.

Missed Chesdan! I lived by the original one on S. Archer Ave. Ate once at the Homer Glen place, but it's far from me. They still have the same delicious, flavorful creamy garlic dressing and it's spectacular! The Reuben sandwich was great. Planning on going for pizza and salad with garlic dressing next time.

We ate her 2/2/24 and I hadn't been back here since I moved to Chicago. We had the soups and they were great and we had the thin crust pizza. My wife said the sauce was a little heavy but overall we both loved the pizza and soups we had. The wait staff was very good and the food was still very good from what I remember in 2011. I'm definitely coming back here again as soups were made from scratch and pizza was great and crust and sauce and ingredients were all very good. My overall pizza rating 1-10 with Chesdans hitting a 8.9 overall. It's one of those places if you haven't tried it? You definitely better because you'll walk away saying Wow! And you'll be coming back. They left an impression on me to visit again and they did not disappoint at all. Awesome soups and pizza. We tried the minestrone and the loaded potato cheese and I loved the loaded potato cheese soup. I'm definitely coming back here again.

Giving the kiddos some dough balls while waiting for dinner is a genius idea.the pizza sauce is a little sweet for me, but I realize that that is subjective.

It was ok. Sweet sauce, good cheese. I just wish the underside was crispier though, it was a bit soft.

My family and I went to dine here last week and experienced a HORRIBLE time. First my daughter and I got our soups but the waitress couldnt carry my wife's soup so she had to go back, returning some five minutes later with her soup. Then came the entrees: I had the eggplant which was fair but in no way did it compare to the way they used to cook it. It was so much better last year. My wife had the ravioli and it was ICE COLD! We told the waitress and she took it back snottily saying that maybe the order came up first and was waiting for the others. Then my wife waited for an extremely long time and when she did appear we asked where the dinner was and she said it was cooking a little longer. My daughter and I were already finished eating so we said we were not waiting any longer and to take it off the bill. The waitress never apologized for the long wait nor did the cook ever come out either. Needless to say we will not be returning here again.
