Love tropical smoothie. The workers literally sat there and watched a video on their phone instead of making my smoothie…. Like what? Finally one of the girls hit the guy on the arm and said “omg make her smoothie” and started laughing. Terrible

One word to describe the Huntley location: FRUGAL. The ingredients in the food items are always scarce and don't bother paying extra for upgrades or additional ingredients. You will hardly ever receive them and if you follow up with the guys currently running the shop, they will debate you and gaslight you into making YOU feel like a cheap customer for holding them accountable for properly fulfilling an order. To get your money's worth, go to one of the other Tropical Smoothie Cafes in the area (LITH OR CL) to get appropriate portions....and better customer service.

Smoothies are inconsistent and just do not taste good at this location. The one in elgin always taste fresh and delicious.

I’m not sure what’s happened to this place over the last two years, but It’s gone completely down hill. I used to visit multiple times a week but after my last visit never again. I had a free smoothie on the reward app and they still insisted that I needed to pay for it. It wasn’t the complete amount but they still wanted to charge me something for it. After I received my order, it was completely the wrong smoothie. I’ve had a couple bad experiences before this but I kept going in hopes that their smoothies would turn out delicious like they used to. Nowadays, their customer service is garbage and their smoothies are mediocre. Don’t rely on just my review to make your decision. Take a look at all the newer reviews, the ones that have been left over the last year. They are all terrible!!

The smoothies are watered down and the customer service is terrible. They obviously have no training or focus in customer service: I won’t give this place my business anymore.

Visited at the beginning of the summer to pick up lunch for my sister and our kids. Embarrassingly when I got to her house, realized they left out 2 of our meals. Called immediately and they acknowledged their mistake but saud they couldn't credit my card back bc the manager was not there. Over the next few days and weeks I left several messages for a manager that was very negligent in responses. I was told he was out if town,, would call me back the next day and that he had several calls to return because they'd opened really late in day so I was essentially on a list to call back. I finally spoke with him weeks later. Was told he could not credit my card bc of the system abd it not being the sane day to pull up the transaction, but that I could either go back in person for the refund or to get get 2 sandwiches a day 2 smoothies I emphasized the rarity that I'm ever in that area, but he assured me that he'd write a note and that it would be honored the next time I came in. I called today to let them know I was on my way with my kids and wanted to ensure no hiccups. They said that the note was not there and that the manager does not recall the conversation and that they only keep customer credits for 2 weeks . Fortunately for me I have call records and receipts to support. Just really annoyed at the AWFUL management this place is under. This was not a matter of a poor tasting order that they tried to make right-- rather, iy they charged me for more than $25 worth of items that they did not provide. mdid not provide. I'll be disputing through my cc company and definitely not returning.

I was there a few minutes ago and I got a flatbread and it had a hair on the tomato I went back to get another one and this time the hair was in the lettuce ? I never complain or leave reviews but I had this bad experience

I've never been unhappy with a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie. Today was an exception. Ordered 4 smoothies and absolutely all of them had pretty much no flavor. We couldn't even decide what they tasted like. Pretty much water with a tiny bit of some type of fruit. For the price we paid for all 4, it was absolutely ridiculous. Not sure if it was a new staff member who made them and they wern't trained properly or a staff that didn't care for their job. Whatever the case, the smoothies we paid for and received were unexceptable.

Came here for 2 smoothie one was good the other had very little to no flavor. I asked for them to remake it and as they did the kids were complaining about the fact of me having an issue with it. I’ve had this drink at least 15 times so I know how it should taste. I really didn’t appreciate how they were smart mouthing in the back as I just wanted a tasty smoothie probably won’t stop back at this location for awhile.

It would go a really long way to teach these young kids customer service. A "hello" or "welcome" and not standing around waiting to be acknowledged. I know they saw me. They stared at me for several minutes in the back before they played mental rock paper scissors on who would serve me.Also, the music playing was very vulgar rap. I wouldn't be so forgiving if I had to wait 20 min for smoothies with my kids in there.Charged for edible straws they didn't have. Highly doubt I'll ever get that refund...they seemed clueless. ?

Love TS! They offer military discount- just gotta ask and have your ID! Lots of different options to choose from and add ons as well. Healthier eats- can't complain! Customer service is always friendly. I will be a TS customer for life!
