Chelo's Taco & Burrito Express

This place is fire. Excellent salsas the owners are great. My order got messed up for the first time ever and they went above and beyond to make it right. Will revisit again soon

Good place to eat and close enough for all Island Lakers!

The best place in island lake for Mexican food. But over the years the portions keep shrinking while the price keeps climbing. It’s honestly not worth the cost anymore. Travel a little further east into Wauconda. Several good places that all have a much better cost to portions ratio with similar or better taste.

Great food and the staff is super friendly. This is becoming my go to spot.

We tried Chelo’s Taco & Burrito Express for the first time tonight and it was excellent!!! Highly recommend!

The best Mexican food in the area. The corn tortillas are delicious, and all of their salsas are so good, the spicy orange sauce is my favorite. Our go to place for tacos!

We stopped sitting inside because there is a woman with a stank attitude towards me but hilariously not towards my boyfriend. She made me so uncomfortable my boyfriend would ask for limes and silverware. Togo is good enough for us! The food keeps us going back.

Everyone else is lovely so we don’t hold the establishment to such a poor attitude. Just don’t want to risk having her again.
