“I got a coupon for " a buy one get one free double burger," and I used it, but it must have been the cheese that gave me a stomach ache! I never have problems with good cheese! They must use some pretend cheese that is called "American" cheese, which caused my stomach pain. They should switch to a little more expensive cheese but has to be real!”

“Stopped in Chi Town Dogs for the first time, after driving by for years. It was around 2pm Wednesday nobody was in the place. I ordered the two hotdogs with fries and drink special, and a Gyros. The fries were excellent. The hotdogs were good even thoe they were luke warm inside not hot. and the gyro was pre sliced then fried even though they have a gyro spit which was clean and had nothing on it(especially at 2 o’clock in the afternoon).I’ll give this place another try next time I’m in the area. I like fresh cut fries, after growing up with Jimmy’s hot dogs in Chicago, and Gene and Jude‘s in River Grove. if the hotdog was hotter inside it could definitely compete with them. Would’ve gave you five stars, if the hotdog was hotter, and the gyros was fresh off the spit.”

“First time patron, but passed by many times. In all honesty, I decided to pick up lunch on way to grandsons soccer game. Had gone to two other establishments before this one (others closed for some reason). Was pleasantly surprised. Order wasn't spectacular, Chicago dogs and fries ( but lots). While waiting, overlooked menu which was quite large. If everything is as good as hotdogs and fries, I'll be back. Thought prices were very reasonable.”

Well I have found a great little cafe that brings you back to the good old days. Island Lake Cafe isn't your run of the mill restaurant . The food is so good Its not easy to find broasted chicken like the old days but they serve it here. Soup is outstanding. If you like Betty Boop you're in luck. They have a large collection of memorabilia. This cafe takes me back to some great memories. The service is great. Next time I go I will definitely try the breakfast. “This place is great just walking distance from my house. They have excellent happy hour specials and the best bartender I’ve had in a long time. His name is Brian and he’s got a great personality and even learned an old fashioned drink recipe called the mary Pickford for me ? I love a bartender with a great sense of humor and a willingness to accommodate their patrons. Highly recommend this little gem.”

“I've been coming here the last 6mos since moving here, and this is one of the few places that actually gets my order right. I can easily name 5 dunkins I've tried multiple times, any time I get a latte with added caramel flavor, most dunkins don't do it. Some places I've had them remake it and its still wrong. This place always gets my order right and I've bought here maybe 30times since moving here and never get it wrong. The drive thru moves pretty quick also so props to the employees”

“First time at the Pizza Pushers, ordered takeout. Friendly, attentive staff. Nice clean cozy dining area. Ordered a sausage pizza and a Wild Hog. The pizza was delicious and could tell made with fresh, quality ingredients. For a guy that does Friday night date night every week in my opinion I got lots of good food for the price. I think next time I’ll eat there and enjoy a beer with my pizza.”

“Great googly moogly I ordered the salmon burrito with mango and crab meat and oh boy was it delicious. My taste buds were getting rizzed on hard and I was all for that relationship. For a side I got the seaweed salad. It was simple but very flavorful. I would highly recommend pokebowl. Speaking of poke there is poke stop there too which is noice.”

“What is wrong with me, I've haven't talked about Sal's? There are many things wrong with me, and that 4000 page book is for another time. The little pizza places are what I always look for. Sal's is a staple. Don't be fooled by it's location and exterior appearance, this workhorse is around the corner of a 7-eleven building. The appearance is small but internally, thanks to the hard workers doing their thing, they produce some great pizza. Their tavern style is classic, thin (but not cracker thin) crust has generous, tangy sauce, and hearty, fresh toppings. I like that the sausage isn't too salty like other places. Don't sleep on their wings, they are meaty and done right. Sal's is 100% pickup or delivery. They have other options for pizza, appetizers, hot sandwiches, pasta, ribs, salad, etc. Dave Portnoy recently put them on an extended map..beyond word of mouth from locals. I never expected him to show up near my neck of the woods, but if he was in search of a "real deal" or "go-to" tavern-style pizza, he made the right decision. Even without One Bite, Sal's was already award-winning. Be sure to use their coupons as they gladly accept them.”

“I love coming in for celiac friendly treats. Picked up 11 lemon cookies for a friends bday. It was $40 unfortunately I won’t can’t afford that all the time. Why does gluten free items have to be so expensive? Also could use a bit more lemon for that price. Still 5 ⭐️ but I wanted to share a couple suggestions.”
