Food was absolutely good. My wife had taco platter, kids had quesadilla platter and I had the el jefe burrito. Rice and beans were on point. Taste of the food was better than I expected. Horchata was also tasty. But what made it all come together was the green sauce. It was spicy compared to other Mexican restaurant's I’ve been to. Other places have lost the spice to the green sauce and it makes the food blah. But here that wasn’t the case. Overall we enjoyed the food and would def be back.

I recently dined at this restaurant and I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious. Every bite was bursting with flavor and the presentation was impeccable. However, I was a bit disappointed by the portion sizes. For the prices you are paying, there was not a lot of meat. While the quality of the food was top-notch, I found myself still feeling a bit hungry after finishing my meal. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the incredible taste experience, but be prepared for smaller portion sizes.

I haven't dined in yet but I've done takeout and I am obsessed with their steak tacos. So delicious! I'm not sure if I can enjoy steak tacos anywhere else after this! I love guac and theirs is very good!

The food was great. But as we sat at the table for a bit visiting we felt as though the staff gave us a direct message that it was time for us to leave! They had gone around the restaurant and put ALL the chairs up on the tables as though they were close to closing time, so we left. .....only to find out it was a little over an hour before they closed!!! Hmm, gives us the impression that the staff want to bolt out of there as soon as possible. I wish they would consider how that feels to your customers!
Gone way downhill. Food super expensive for small portions .. quality not great. People in drive thru are sassy as all get out. Increased most things on menu 30-40% in price over the last 2 years. Used to eat here 1-2 times a week and now it's just not worth it. Like to support small and local businesses but not when you get robbed.

I recommend their tacos. Everything else needs improvement in terms of seasoning and taste, specially becuase is a bit pricey. The staff is always friendly. Wierd combinations too, that wont have me coming back. for instance, chicken grilled burrito bowl is just lettuce, tomatoes, corn, and few grains of black beans, and around 6oz of grilled chicken. You can get rice, beans and plenty of tasty crema at chipotle for less money.

With all the amazing Mexican food around Chicago area it's a shame some places want to charge so much for mediocre food.First off the prices are crazy high, especially for the quality of food you get. $11.49 for the SMALLEST burrito with almost no meat inside is insane to me. The size of the burrito was a joke, it's a queen size burrito for 7.99 at any restaurant out there. Not to mention, there was basically 1 taco worth of meat in the burrito, I am not joking, half of the entire burrito was only lettuce and sour cream, no meat. I've never had a burrito so empty before, especially for 11.49? They should be ashamed trying to serve this kinda mess to people. Complete rip off. The Steak, was also not real steak, carne asada or skirt steak, it was just some cheap beef steak.Now the taco dinner? 2 small tacos with rice and beans for 11.49? Where do these prices come from?Now comes the Elotes, worst Elotes I've ever had. The corn was hard, not fully cooked and of course overpriced too. I don't understand, it's not hard to make good food for a good price people.Lastly, the last time I was at any restaurant where there was NO pop refills was probably 15 yrs ago. Like seriously? It costs cents for a refill.Just so much wrong going on here.Nothing at all authentic or good about this place. Probably 5,000 other better Mexican restaurants in the area with a better value and food.
