A friendly and lovable place that serves the best sushi around the area.I could not get enough of their food.Located inside a professional/office building, and surrounded by more of them, you can find this gem off the entrance of the main building. With access from the outside and the inside of the building as well, you in for a treat. For a while, this place was not easy to get into, unfortunately COVID-19 has pushed some people away of the office buildings around them, which made it much easier for us (outsiders) to get in.The quality of food has not gone down, and the service is great. They welcome you with one of the best Miso soups you’ll ever had. The rolls are out of this world, especially when it comes with the fresh Wasabi (delicious). Feel free to have it your way. There is PLENTY of parking spaces (because of the office buildings around it.The food is amazing, and the service is great.Enjoy!!And you can thank me later.

Amazing quality and consistency. I've been coming to Hirano every week for the last several months and have always been impressed with how fresh the sushi is and how attentive the service is. The Cubs roll is a must and don't skip the Hamachi for some incredibly fresh Yellowtail. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

Quality sushi restaurant run by the most wonderful couple. The hostess is so kind and they treat you like family. Their seafood is consistently SO fresh. My favorite is the Cub roll and the Westin roll. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is in the area!

Why would you go anywhere else? On the hosts suggestion we ordered ala carte with a bunch of rolls and she let us know what was fresh. Could not be happier and the service was amazing. Ask the owner for a sake bomb. You will not be disappointed!

The sushi was very good, the bento box was good too, except the chicken. The chicken was dry. The Popeye scallops are amazing but put the spinach to the side and eat that separately. The spinach is still good, but it just doesn't pair with the scallops as well as you would want it to.Service is great.Sake was cold...that was odd for me, but not at all bad.

Right as you walk in the amazing owner greets you very welcoming, it feels like your at home jot at a restaurant, sushi was very good and well portioned, the chicken teriyaki is very lacking small portion, and in the dry side, Other than that it was an amazing experience

Wonderful place to grab some sushi!! The hostest is super sweet and wonderful. The sushi is super fresh and prepared beautifully. They also have some really smooth sake if you're looking for some. I ordered several pieces including octopus, squid, eel, and their special of the day and they all tasted delicious. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

I can't believe it has taken me so long to write a review on Hirano. My family of six have been coming here for 13 years. When we stumbled on it by accident, we coined it "Itasca's best kept secret". This is owned by the kindest woman "Michelle" and her husband, the chef. My youngest son was three when we started coming here and it quickly became our "go to", especially on Friday nights, after the business crowd leaves town. There are very few people in there, so the service is first rate. The sushi is extremely high quality. I can't say enough about this place. I will warn you, sometimes the service can be a little slow, so don't go if you are in a hurry. Everything is made to order, by hand, and there is only one person taking and filling orders, at least on Friday nights. They are closed on Saturdays.
