The brisket was some of the best I've had. If you want an "off the beaten path" local joint feel, this place is nice. They were clearly caught off guard by having several families arrive at once, causing quite a wait. The food was totally worth the wait. I'm not big on eating in a bar, and that is kinda the feel of this place, but I had a nice conversation over a really good meal. If I remember right, the price was also very reasonable.
Not bad place. I had the seafood basket. Clams were good, the breaded shrimp was over freid, the cod breading was good but couldn't taste the cod. Couldn't get my drink till I asked then never was able to get a refill. But, the others I was with had a good experience.
Pretty neat little place on the square. The food is pretty standard, not much to expect out of a bar establishment, but the menu does have some decent gems. I especially enjoyed the New York ribeye, w/ a loaded backed potato and coleslaw on the side a few months back.Not a big fan of drinking, but they do have a pool table in there as well, which is nice.If you don't want to deal with the high school / college crowds or the noisy speakers of the other place on the square,...
