“Our friends visited from NY we we and ate at The Little Stove upon their arrival into Jacksonville. They enjoyed it so much that we returned a second time, and they were only in town 3 nights! We had the beet salad, a steak pizza, and a meatball pizza. All were delicious.”

“The nicest restaurant I’ve ever been to five stars there was no dirty spots in the bathrooms, where the cleanest place I’ve ever been to all the employees were very nice and my food was delicious. Would recommend.”

“I really like this place. Prices are reasonable. Staff is very accommodating. Lexi was particularly fun and helpful. The good: Price. Food quality is decent. The tacos are okay. They have sour cream available etc. It's not traditional but they're better than taco bell. The pizza isn't bad either. Came out a little burnt on the edges and soggy in the center but not terrible. They are very generous with the toppings also. They also have something called John's sauce I'm about to try right now... oh... The bad: John's sauce. Why? WHY?! Who goes out of their way to make that to put on pizza? How dare you? The pizza toppings aren't the highest quality, but they are okay. The food is decent but they aren't in danger of getting a Michelin Star any time soon. Manage your expectations, but the price is more than appropriate for the quality of the food, and it won't break the bank. The ugly: the sound. When I say they would probably get an OSHA violation if they did a study here, I'm not joking. I don't like putting things in this section, but this one cannot be ignored. For the sake of the employees working here everyday, the owner needs to do something more than a couple small sound absorbing panels poorly placed in the room. Some hack screwed plywood to the ceiling instead of using drywall and thought the exposed brick would look nice. You're eating in a sound chamber. I bet karaoke would sound great with the acoustics, but besides live music, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen once the wait staff goes deff. I recommend this place, but you may want to sit outside if the place is full. Save what hearing you have left.”

“Good food and good service!!! Our server, Kristen, was great. My wife and niece both ordered a burger and split an appetizer of deep fried mushrooms. Breakfast is available all day so I opted for biscuits and gravy with eggs. Yep, it was a good choice. Best I've found around here. And, Kristen kept showing up with the coffee pot to fill our cups. Next time I'm in Jacksonville, I know where I'm going to grab a bite to eat.”

“We are from out of town and was on the hunt for a bar and grill. As we were looking places up on the internet we saw Docs bar and grill. As we went looking for it we walked into Don's place because we misread the sign out front. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and told that they don't serve food but he very nicely took us outside and pointed to a few places nearby that did serve food. As we parted ways my husband and I looked at each other and exclaimed what a nice guy he was! He didn't have to show us other options but he did! He was probably the nicest guy that I've ever met! We will be back in town and will definitely be going in there for cocktails!”

“This is the best Tavern in town! Hands down.The Food is great, and the place is family owned and operated.Everybody is friendly and in 20+ years I've never heard of the cops having to come over there (like we hear of all too much in some of the other bars in this town). Parking: The location is uptown it's like Off The square to the south of the square the parking is actually across the street and it's free establishment

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a couple of steps ahead of the doorway that takes you into the actual facility I think it'd be kind of hard for a wheelchair to get up in there but it's not impossible anything you put your mind to is doable”

“I am not sure how Kelly does it, but she is a wizard with her burritos!!! I LOVE her loaded veggie burrito…the flavor combo is insanely good. The appearance is simple, so don’t be fooled…it’s magical inside! Some places over-cook veggies and cook them with too much oil and no seasoning. Not the case at KJB’s. I’ve heard their other menu items are fantastic too, I’m just stuck on my veggie burrito and crave it. Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed!! My hubby had the taco lasagna last night and said it was the best lasagna he’s eaten!!”

“Came in for dinner and some drinks, the chicken cordon Bleu was absolutely delicious. Miss Steph the bar tendress was awesome and very attentive. If you come to Jacksonville Illinois an don't have a drink and a good thin crust pie, it's your own fault. Absolutely amazing.

“This is probably one of the best subways I've ever gone to, the building is always clean the food always tastes fresh and the staff members treat you like family. I come in every once in awhile and they always remember what I get even when it's been a long time, even if food isn't that great I'll go back for service if it's good. But the service is good the food is good overall I would rate this restaurant very very highly.”

“Burger King is my go to when it comes to burgers because they're quick and always fresh. The wait times are a little longer then I like but hey as long as the food tastes great and is fresh then I will not complain”

“We called to give an order for pickup. The person who talked on the phone to me was hard to understand and was very rude and hung up on me before I finish talking to her. I have never talked to anyone in a fast food restaurant taking my order that was ever that rude before. She was obviously in a bad mood when she answered the phone.

“We often place large orders at Wendy’s at night for the factory I work at. The team at Wendy’s in Jacksonville, Illinois is always AWESOME!! They never seem annoyed, always very friendly very happy to take the orders, our orders are always correct , and that is a BIG deal. Our typical order ranges from $60-$110, and to date we have never had a mistake , never had bad service , never been dissatisfied. Tonight my order was $90, I placed it in the drive thru as I had issues with the ap. When I told the person taking the order it was a big order, he said ok, let’s have it , no frustration, he didn’t rush me etc. which we deal with a lot at some restaurants. Wendy’s had that order perfectly made and I was on my way back to work in 12 minutes from the placing of the order to driving away. As always everything was exactly as ordered , they even take the time to bag combos in their own bag, and all of the like sandwiches etc together . I’m quick to complain , but I’m also quick to call out a CONSISTENT JOB WELL DONE!! Every time . We greatly appreciate all of you guys !!”
