“My bf and I went for the first time last evening, and we were enchanted with this little restaurant! We were immediately greeted and told we could sit anywhere we liked. Delicious salsa and chips were brought soon after, and then we ordered our food from the menu. The prices were great for what we received, and the food was wonderful! “The iced coffee is good and usually consistent, I'd consider myself a regular. Some days the staff are pretty friendly and other times service is lacking. “We used Holly Cakes for our wedding on September 9, 2023 and the cake was exactly what we wanted! I came in to the tasting with a single inspo photo and description of what I wanted and they executed it perfectly! Her delivery was so seamless that I didn't even know she had shown up until I got to the reception and the cake was on the table. The cake and the cupcakes all tasted fantastic as well! Totally recommend the angel cream filling, it's delicious!!”

“OK this place is legit. I lived on the west coast for long time and have had a hard time finding good Mexican food since I moved to Illinois. Now I’ve only been to this truck once but dang I think I finally found the food I’ve been missing. These guys cook up some legit Mexican food. Just know that they barely speak any English and only accept cash! Thank you hermanos!”

“This is a great location and they have really good ice cream. I'm not sure why this place isn't packed all the time. The patio is tastefully decorated with flowers on the tables. I had a twist cone and the chocolate was one of the best I've had for soft serve . Right behind the old Viles Buick Pontiac building.”

“We are from out of town and was on the hunt for a bar and grill. As we were looking places up on the internet we saw Docs bar and grill. As we went looking for it we walked into Don's place because we misread the sign out front. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and told that they don't serve food but he very nicely took us outside and pointed to a few places nearby that did serve food. As we parted ways my husband and I looked at each other and exclaimed what a nice guy he was! He didn't have to show us other options but he did! He was probably the nicest guy that I've ever met! We will be back in town and will definitely be going in there for cocktails!”

“Always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Great bunch of regulars and bar tenders. Best bar in town imo, decent pool table that'd usually open, and I win more times than I loose on the slots. I'm a cardinals fan though.....this is definitely a cubs bar.....but hey no one is perfect.”

“We have only been here one time because we were told to go and try the Irish nachos. My mom and I went and decided to share an order and she ordered a side salad. The plate of food was huge and we could barely eat half of it. Waffle fries white cheese sauce shredded cheese bacon bits, real ones and chives with sour cream ? Absolutely delicious!!! Service was great and it is a good place to go on the square. We will definitely be back!! 25$ total with 2 drinks and so much food!! The menu looks great!!”

“This is probably one of the best subways I've ever gone to, the building is always clean the food always tastes fresh and the staff members treat you like family. I come in every once in awhile and they always remember what I get even when it's been a long time, even if food isn't that great I'll go back for service if it's good. But the service is good the food is good overall I would rate this restaurant very very highly.”

“Only giving 4 stars because the manager working on 6/23 in the afternoon was one of the nicest people I've ever met and did a great job of taking care of us. I was disappointed in the burger quality. Fries were great but burgers and bacon definitely needed some help. They all tasted like they were microwaved and not cooked on a grill or flat top.”

“As we were on a small roadtrip across IL my husband promised me some fresh Mcdonalds fries if I did the night driving. As I pulled in through the drive thru I contemplated what size fries I wanted. "Get the bigguns" spoke the wise words of the drive thru attendant Billy. I did order the large and they were perfectly salty and hot. Billy is the type of employee that every McDonalds needs, he knows what the people want and we want the bigguns fries. He also suggested a movie for us to watch (which I will Billy I promise). I sadly won't be back to this McDonald's location because I live far away, but I'll always remember Billy as the top tier of what an experience could be. All future employee interactions will be judged on a Billy scale, and as someone who just wanted some fries, I gained a whole lot more.”
