We ate at his other establishment, Kim's Place and he was kind enough to donate 2 dozen donuts to our college track team. He 1000000% made our day!!!! It was an assortment of donuts and when I tell you THESE are donuts, I mean these were the biggest, fluffiest, and best tasting donuts we've ever had....hands down! We've found our new go-to place next time we're in town. If you haven't been, then you definitely need to. Some of the best donuts around hands down.“
“This was the first time we stopped at Obadiah's but it won't be the last. They had a nice selection of baked goods considering it is a small operation. The cinnamon bread is delicious! We enjoyed the chocolate chunk scones as well. This is a nice addition to Jacksonville!“
“I was responsible for the cake for a surprise 50th anniversary party for my aunt and uncle. Their children and I do not live in the area -- the closest of us is 700 miles away. I got Shirley a black & white photo of their wedding cake, and we spent time on the phone discussing probable colors used. Miss Shirley made that cake look exactly like the one from 50 years ago. It was very moist, tasty, and a perfect match! Much, much tastier than a typical bakery cake. I was quite pleased, and I had many people (locals) at the function come up to me to ask where I had gotten the cake. Several nodded knowingly when I said All Occasion, and they said how great Miss Shirley and her daughter are with their cakes. I was able to get each layer in a different flavor, and because we did not need quite as big a cake as the original, she decorated a perfect false lower tier "dummy" cake. I wish I could include a picture. A 16" dummy cake, two separate layer cakes (serving total estimated at 81, but I think it served a little more), decorating, delivery, setup, etc., all for about $210. I am pretty particular and pay attention to details. Be sure you are careful to write down your exact wishes as you tell them, and then make sure you go over them again a couple days in advance. If you do that, you can rest easy that you're going to get what you've asked for. They were wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend them.“
“We used Holly Cakes for our wedding on September 9, 2023 and the cake was exactly what we wanted! I came in to the tasting with a single inspo photo and description of what I wanted and they executed it perfectly! Her delivery was so seamless that I didn't even know she had shown up until I got to the reception and the cake was on the table. The cake and the cupcakes all tasted fantastic as well! Totally recommend the angel cream filling, it's delicious!!“
