I’ve and my friend have been loyal good customers - but it’s time for a break. Last night there was an extremely drunk and overly loud obnoxious customer yelling unintelligible comments and disrupting customers. I complained, Juan did nothing, and refused to tell them to leave. Perhaps he was concerned they were over served? But they continued to drink…
We ordered a full nacho plate and asked to have it on two plates. Nicely, they did but it seemed like an imposition.
However, my friend happened to hit the plate accidentally and unfortunately it fell on the floor. Juan was not pleased, which is fine. But, surprisingly he didn’t make a good faith effort and ask if she wanted anything else, nor even after I suggested, and he knows we’ve been good consistent customers, failed to make a nice gesture as accidents happen, and just make a new one.
The place was pretty empty - strange given the Bears Game was on, we thought.
But, honestly, good faith, and nice gestures, without being asked goes A REALLY LONG WAY!

Whether you're looking for an incredible bfast, lunch, or dinner... YOU WILL BE LUCKY to find this hidden Riverside gem of a restaurant.
For bfast, I highly recommend the Mexican Avocado Toast. For lunch, the Mai Mai wrap offers great value. For dinner, I find the Red Snapper irresistible.

Went out for Taco Tuesday with my family to also celebrate a birthday. The service was great - food was very good and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the bar/restaurant. The kind of place you could drop in to anytime, date night or casual - I'll be back!

Our senior group from church met here for bkfst. We had 14 people. We had called ahead to notify them of possible 15 people. They only had one server to wait on us plus she also had to see to other customers that came in. The food was delicious but some got food as others were just about finishing. Didn't like that they-or their software- automatically applied the credit card charges on every bill. When asked they rectified them.

Best sit down Mexican in the McHenry area! Conveniently located on the fox river with docks so you can access it by boat or car. Outdoor seating is nice views of the water but I wish they would get more comfortable chairs instead of picnic tables for out there. The inside is nice and there are slot machines if that is your thing. Some of our favorites are the queso with chorizo as a starter, birrira quesadillas, tortas, and pastor tacos. For breakfast I love their Mexican omelette and chiliqueles with steak. Also love their horchata. Must try if you like Mexican for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Our go-to spot for taco Tuesday!!! The chorizo is by far my favorite - the flavor is amazing - it is savory but has a bit of a kick to it. I also like the carne asada & al pastor area! This is the only place I will go for authentic Mexican food in the McHenry/Johnsburg area. They always have great service, a welcoming atmosphere & it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a nice meal with river views on a nice day.

Wow! Located Along the Fox River. A fantastic menu-American and Mexican. We shared a skillet! So glad we did! Large portions. The Gyro skillet had great flavors. Spinach, scrambled eggs, a Gyro meat, feta and crispy hash browns. A great start to our day. Wonderful service.
