Anthony's Restaurant and Pub

We heard from family and friends that this place had good food, so we decided to give it a try.
The hostess at the door was on her phone when we walked in and only put it down after we had been standing there for a few seconds, and I said hello. We were seated with our infant child right in front of the doors and could feel a breeze every time the door opened. Our clothes stuck to the sticky tables, shoes stuck to the sticky floor, and the menus smelled like multiple beers had been spilled on them. We ordered soda, and when it arrived at the table, it tasted like watered-down tap water. We didn't sit at the bar, but we noticed there were pieces of 2×4 holding a portion of it together. With all of these red flags, and then looking at the prices of the food, and the fine print at the bottom of the menu that said there would be a $3 charge for splitting a meal (??), we decided to leave without ordering food. We know this is a restaurant and pub. However, our expectations were a little bit higher, given the location and appearance on the outside. Maybe we will try again in a few months when outdoor dining is an option.

Very disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The security staff was incredibly unprofessional and immediately made it clear we had a coverage and it needed to pay upfront with CASH. I made myself clear I needed to go inside to withdraw money but because of their attitude and body language I did not have a desire to be there and take my money somewhere else where it will be appreciated and not make me feel belittle. I can take my money somewhere else. bye!

Me and my friend got kicked out because another guy was friends with security. All because my friend took the guys seat at the bar…... Complete favoritism, garbage place, we spent a lot of good money here for nothing.

I had such a great time going here for the first time with my boyfriend. Our waitress (I believe her name was Alejandra) was so kind and accommodating! Food and drinks were super tasty, I got a margarita that was amazinggg!!

Good food, good atmosphere, the absolute most horrible security I have ever seen in my life so unprofessional and does not know how to de-escalade a situation but would rather be the antagonistic to the problem involving multiple security guards making a scene which will cause comple chaos.

I went to have dinner and drinks and the bartender commented fraud and wrote her self 100 dollars be careful I already made a report the owner Tony said it happens and do what I need to do the bartender Daisy did this be careful or you will end up like me or worst

Was looking for a bar in Joliet after 11pm, everything was ghost town except this place. Good vibe in here, chill atmosphere, nice service, overall nice place to go.

Came for dinner on a football Sunday. The place was trashed, the other guests were wasted, and the staff were exhausted. Food was fine but seems like they need a lot more staff.

Love coming here! The staff is very welcoming, including the bartender Josh. He’s very approachable, fast, and friendly. Definitely the best go to bar in joliet!

Came the watch the Canelo fight. Place is awesome. Line to get in moved at a great pace. Plenty of bar tenders to take drinks. Lots of televisions. Good food. Affordable. Lots of personnel. I was expecting a good time but I had a great time. Will definitely be back.
