I do a lot of driving and I'm always looking for unique and fun places to eat. The Big Chill and Grill did not disappoint. This quaint little corner pizza joint had great atmosphere, friendly service, and the food was excellent. The Italian sub had the perfect balance of ingredients, and came on a beautifully fresh sub roll with just a little bit of crunch. Had to grab a slice of pizza for the road just to try it, and that too did not disappoint. You should definitely give the Big Chill and Grill a shot for your next to meal.

I was not impressed. I ordered a chili dog and fries. My friend did as well. I asked for relish, no cheese. She ordered just cheese. They messed up and put cheese and relish in both. The fries were good. .

The pizza is crunchy and has the right amount of dough and sauce. The beef sandwich, one of my favorites in the area. The bread they use is so good. They also toast it, which makes it slightly less messy to eat. The staff is always friendly.

It's 7:53pm on a Monday night and something so unexpected just happened. I just dropped a friend off at the Joliet train station and decided to grab dinner on the way home. I stopped at a small place which I almost passed up called The Big Chill in Joliet IL. I took a few moments to look at the reviews and decided I wanted to try the meatball sandwich which was top rated. I ordered the sandwich with a side of sauce because I like everything extra saucy. I bit into this sandwich and was so delighted. The bread was crispy and buttery almost like garlic bread. The meatballs had sooo much flavor. No pre made meatballs here you can tell these are freshly made. Next, I dipped my sandwich in the marinara sauce and please know that I have had a glimpse of heaven!! Lastly the stretch of the melted cheese which I assume is Provolone, elevated my experience even more. This was just soo good! I will be back and I almost hate that this place is so close to where I live because I've been trying to un-big my back and this sandwich is totally dangerous to that goal. So please do yourself a favor and stop here for a meatball sandwich If you're ever in the area, thank me later. I may do another review soon with pics. I wasn't expecting this to be so good so I didn't take pics.
I am so happy with this restaurant and loved my order, the pizza there was so cheesy and perfectly baked I can’t wait to go back for another one. The employees there were so kind and helpful when I came to pick up my family’s order.
I love how quaint and tucked away the restaurant is that you wouldn’t expect it to be at spacious inside as it was from the outside but the experience going there was amazing and the food was great as were look forward to coming back here for more orders soon !!
Parking: They have free parking it is just a small parking lot so if they’re busy I can imagine a small wait but luckily they have a drive thru so you can always pull up for your order too !!
