I moved here 18 years ago and I use to love this library, it was a book lovers fantasy. However, recently I noticed more empty shelves and less books. Their scifi section is just sad. Where did all the books go? You are a library after all. Books should be bursting from every corner of the library. Instead it is just empty. Half of the fun of libraries is finding old books. Now all they have is newer books. Whoever is running this library needs to let go of this minimalist outlook. I know most libraries are liberal and all follow each other. This is not a good trend. Please bring old books back, bring books back period. Hopefully, this can be the library I once loved.
I also wish they would carry the Good and Beautiful books, More D&D, and Warhammer books.
Good. Can be expanded more
The librarian took about 30 min generating a reccomendation list for my son based on his reading interests. Great place!
We had our association meeting there last night ?
Always polite and friendly associates
I like this branch, all on one floor. the staff are always friendly and helpful
It's a nice library.. Clean. Has a small play area for small children. Table with coloring sheets/crayons. Sometimes arts and crafts. In addition to books (obviously) they rent out video games and DVDs. Friendly staff.
Always a pleasant and pleasure to visit the library.
use their copy machine mostly. Employees very helpful.
First time here, great kids area with lots of books and space to explore with a few days as well. Great for bad weather days

There is a LOT to day about the Joliet Public Library! Very friendly staff, everyone is so helpful there! Getting a library card was really easy and quick (& free too!). I've noticed the decor and table setups are very pretty that it makes ME want to sit in those kid activity rooms. I really liked the inclusivity they had for Pride Month. The manga section is pretty great, although I think that it should be expanded to a wider selection. I think what shocked me the most is that they have Nintendo Switch games there?? I think that's a pretty cool idea to know that you could try out a game before commiting to buying it for your switch at home. I also really appreciate the computer section they have there because I've been in a pinch and needed to print something. It only cost me 10 cents and I didn't even have to pay that because every library card is given a free $2.00 balance for printing. Even when it runs out, I wouldn't mind paying or reloading my balance on my card. Did I mention there is a cafe??? I saw it on my way out, but I can't wait to go there and try some pastries. 10/10 Highly recommend :)
Good parking, clean, well ordered shelves, good selection and polite, helpful staff. Safe area with stop light to assist with entrance and exit to/from facility.
It's a quiet place
