Can't wait to see it after the construction is finished.

Crowded and construction being done. We have half of a library. The rest of the library is crammed into meeting areas. Study areas fill up quick and have limited space. Not enough plug in areas to charge items. Word to the wise go somewhere else till the upgrade is done

Really love this library Iv been coming here ever since I was a kid. We still come here and have many fond memories in the coffee shop, with renovation underway I really hope that they will find a way to bring back a small coffee shop. That was one of my favorite aspects of this library.

Very quiet 🤐

This has been one of the most rewarding and amazing library experiences for me and my children. I'm still giving 5 stars even with the children's section closing abruptly and the closure expectancy not being provided clearly. We initially were told one week but its really a whole year. This is our first year doing the Summer reading challenge and hope there will be a Winter one. My kids are competing everyday to be the top reader amongst each other. It's a great feeling not only to free up screens but do something we all love to do together. The prizes are a great perk and we're going to keep the contest going and I'm going to make my own prizes. Before the temporary closure there was a stage that my daughter would pretend to put on concerts and plays and just seeing her imagination come to life is priceless! I can't wait for the reopening and we'll be there on the first day. We've found close by libraries for now. If you haven't already get to your nearest library for games, puzzles, books, crafts, activities and so much more that cost nothing. A great way to make core memories all with a library card and no admission fees.

The Joliet public library is a place to be. The calmness of the place and the loving nature of staff here makes all the difference. They off tons of services that make it a point of attraction for the public. I really enjoy going there with my kids to study

I use the library not only for books and audio books, but also for printing, scanning and meeting clients. Great staff!

Nice facility but was misinformed about book donations and was stuck with 20 boxes of books in my vehicle. They were very polite with their denial, at least.

Clean and the people that work there are very helpful.

Love the drive up. Had knee replacement surgery so it's great to use the drive up. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I moved here 18 years ago and I use to love this library, it was a book lovers fantasy. However, recently I noticed more empty shelves and less books. Their scifi section is just sad. Where did all the books go? You are a library after all. Books should be bursting from every corner of the library. Instead it is just empty. Half of the fun of libraries is finding old books. Now all they have is newer books. Whoever is running this library needs to let go of this minimalist outlook. I know most libraries are liberal and all follow each other. This is not a good trend. Please bring old books back, bring books back period. Hopefully, this can be the library I once loved.

I also wish they would carry the Good and Beautiful books, More D&D, and Warhammer books.
