I do not recommend this restaurant, it has good food but I made a reservation for a wedding in which the owner offered me appetizer, food and dessert when I made the quote, he required me to pay the total reservation before the event and then on the day of the event He told me that there was no dessert included and that he had not told me about dessert and he did not remember so I had to check the conversations to see if it was true. So if you are thinking of holding an event there, you should demand a contract so that it doesn't happen to you like me, who out of trust gives the money without having signed a contract and is embarrassed by all the guests, in the end.
So the guests had already left, bored from waiting so long for dessert, when there were 7 people left out of 50 and after having reviewed the conversations, they served the dessert after an hour of review (if not more).

The place is very nice and clean, well maintained, and welcoming. The food came out fast and it was delicious, and wasnt too expensive either. I had the Machete(a 22inch long quesadilla) loaded with meat and cheese, and sauces for dipping. ? And my server, Ana, was very upbeat and friendly...she made me want to come in more often. She was great! ?? I would definitely recommend this place whether your solo or with the family.

Stopped in for a plate of huevos y bistec and a couple beers after getting off an Amtrak. Joliet had been stormwracked and this was one of the few places open. The food was good and the chicas were lovely. I'll bet the place really gets going at night!

ROUTE 66 perfect for lunch or dinner, clean and healthy food, well worth it. We stopped by chance and the Mexican food pleasantly surprised us. For getting away from pizzas, hamburgers and American food, it's very good.

After failing to get tables at two other nearby restaurants, we ended up here. We were not disappointed. The food and service were fantastic. This restaurant was not busy at all for a Friday evening when there was a baseball game and a concert at nearby venues. It should be packing them in every night.
If I could give it a zero I would give it a zero, it's not fair that I arrived first than other tables and the people were focused on the tables that arrived after me, they served them their drinks and everything and I didn't even notice I stood up and told the waitress that I needed my drinks drink and told me that she didn't know about drink that she is busy doing something else my first time and my last

This was an amazing find. From our awesome server, Miriam to the food!!! We shared a platter and barely were able to finish it. Should we find ourselves in Joliet again, this would be our go to place. We ordered the Mole enchiladas, wow!!! We've had mole often, but this was fantastic, authentic Mexican! The chips with the in house made salsa, we could have eaten just that. Fabulous place!!! Would love to come in the weekend!

Came in after walking all over downtown on a Thursday to find out everyone was full. We watched 10 other couples doing the same. We all ended up here. Didn’t realize we came in very close to closing time. We still got great service and great food.
