Harold's Shrimp & Chicken - Joliet

My thing is if y’all closed just say that came here because i thought they reopened just to find out it’s vacant so don’t come here just go to a city location . Why would y’all have operating hours and a busy phone if y’all not in business

Drive all the way out here on Saturday April 5th at 3pm. The website said they were open until 10pm. When we arrived they were closed. Doors locked, nobody inside, no sign on the door. Fix your hours! You're wasting people's time!

Some of the worst fried chicken I've had. Thighs and legs were too big, and either they cooked it in old grease or cooked it too long, and it was too much flour on them or whatever they use to batter the chicken in. This is my first and LAST TIME getting food from here, and I do not recommend thighs and legs or the sauce. The sauce tastes more like ketchup mixed with probably lemon juice.

Must be under new management then when it was downtown Joliet. The 🍤 is much smaller and fried too hard. The catfish was hard on the outside and under cooked on the inside. Tried new location twice and still disappointed 😞

You would think a business would make sure they had product to sell for the weekend when it would be the busiest time of business. I came in to find they can’t do any sandwiches due to no bread and multiple other menu items due to not having them in the business. This is absolute poor planning and business plan. Not to mention a huge waste of time. Won’t be back and will be sure to inform others not to waste their time as the business down the street informed us this is a constant issue.

6:30pm on Saturday and closed.

In my opinion, they have the best fried chicken in town. We had chicken, fries,gizzards, and okra. The food was delicious!

Ordered food on Uber Eats. Very disappointing because I like Harold's (at least on the southside). Chicken under cooked and saltt. Fries under cooked as well. Soggy soggy and not because of the sauce.

The food is good, but the restaurant is terrible. Visited on a Sunday afternoon for the chicken and catfish.Out of slaw, so they gave me potatoes salad which I thought was great but I found out that they only gave me a tablespoon of salad in a little sauce cup.Lobby looked like it was abandoned. Soda fountain was broken and they weren't sure if the cans of soda in their fridge were cold

The purpose of calling in your order is so you don't have to wait! And this on/off cash only is getting old! Being from Chicago I expect better business!

I came from Iowa passing through to go see the Hawkeyes play college basketball. They was closed. But online it said it was open. The door was locked but I came in when someone came out. She told me she was closed politely but she still took my order kindly. Usually when I come to Chicago most have bad attitude like they don’t want to be at work. She was very joyful and understanding . I ordered 12 wings and mild sauce fried hard. With leaving an 10 tip. I reall recommended this location

Always great service. Food is always cooked fresh. I ordered a large catfish and shrimp and was NOT disappointed. Everything was made to perfection and seasoned just right. This is the best spot to go in Joliet for chicken and fish.
