Do not drink coffee here if you have tree-nut allergies.
I have tree-nut allergies. They aren’t severe, so I normally don’t worry too much about cross contamination. However, no matter what, whether I am the first person in or somewhere in between, I have a reaction to this place. I have told the cashier about my allergies and still experience stomach aches, and a hurting, swollen throat.
I’ll admit, the coffee does taste good. It’s good quality and the food looks lovely and homemade. The atmosphere and interior design Is also beautiful. But it simply isn’t worth me feeling sick.
I really wanted to like Jitters, but it doesn’t seem like their sanitation is on par. Realistically, in a place like this, they should have a second station for their allergies. Or wash the machines in between drinks to prevent cross contamination. I’m not sure if they’re sharing spoons with several ingredients or if the products they use aren’t safe.. but something is wrong.
If anyone has a severe allergy, let me be the warning to not try your luck. There is a high possibility you will become incredibly lll and need your epi-pen.

Not only does this place have great vibes and yummy drinks they are so welcoming. I’m a mother and often feel uneasy bringing my busy little toddler into adult spaces but they are so kind and even added little vintage chairs and a table for little kids after our weekly visits became a regular thing. You can definitely feel the family owned love that goes into creating this third space in our community.

Meet with a sharp rude manner after I stated I had thought Jitters brought us free ice coffees a few days ago. They informed me they have lines every morning and don’t need to bother handing out ice coffees to get customers in the area they already have too many!
It wasn’t a great first impression and she continued to tell me how wonderful they were compared to all the other coffee shops in joliet.
It really was an odd conversation. Will NOT return. Coffee didn’t taste good either. Too bad.

First time trying out this coffee shop and it was really good. I had the bacon egg and cheese on a Asiago bagel so good and also had the iced coffee. My wife had the avocado toast with a hot matcha latte she really liked it. Will definitely come back and try out other food items on their menu.

Great Iced coffee, menu had a lot of options to choose from. All the food seemed hand made and fresh, I regret not getting breakfast there because the coffee was so affordable I got a big, really great tasting iced coffee for like 4-5$ and a big cup of ice. The lady wasn’t gonna charge me for the ice which was nice but supporting small businesses is important so I paid for it. Very nice employees. Lots of good places to sit inside and outside. Cool atmosphere, loved the wall paper and the sitting areas and decorations. There was a piano inside too which was cool. If I’m ever in Joliet again I’m going there for coffee and I’m getting food next time.

First impressions are everything. We heard great things. But with traffic and construction. And we finally found parking. We paid for parking. Walked with our little one to the coffee shop. They closed at 2pm. We tried to walk in at 1:50pm. And were turned away. We were told they were closed. It was a hassle to get there . But we were let down.
