Although we didn't have a reservation before the concert we were accommodated by being seated at the bar. Our bartender/waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable & friendly. Issues with tavern inconsistencies-
1. Waitstaff informed us upon presenting bill that tavern charges service fee during holiday weekends. We spoke with manager to get this 18% service fee removed as it was not mentioned upon entering the tavern, nor on the erasable board at the matre D station, nor being seated, nor on the menu.
2. Our calamari plate, an appetizer, was presented half full and contained mostly rings with only 2 tentacles. We were told this is how orders of calamari are presented. We saw several other orders & those orders had more on the plates. A photo of our calamari is below

Juliet’s provided a wonderful dining experience with delicious dishes and excellent service. Nina was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We truly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning to Juliet’s again soon.

2-3-26 Dine In Review
OVERALL
- Food was great (as always is)
- pricing is competitive
- atmosphere can’t be beat
- service is good
FOOD
- we visiting Juliet’s at lunch time.
- The menu has lots of options while only being 2 pages. I like that the menu items are different enough that it makes it pretty easy to decide what you want
- my go-to is “The Butcher” which is a New York strip steak sandwich
- sides are not included with the entree, so be advised that sides are an extra
- their house made chips are a staple side
- the “truffle” version of their house chips and fries are something unique to Juliet’s
ATMOSPHERE
- I love the decor of Juliet’s. It’s got a “old meets modern” vibe and the architecture is just fun to view while dining
- the restaurant has large windows that let in lots of light
SERVICE
- today our server was Autumn, and she was great
- drinks were refilled regularly without needing to ask
- our orders were promptly taken and the server checked in regularly to make sure all was well and to ask if we needed anything
LOCATION
- being located at the northwest corner of Chicago and Clinton, makes the restaurant easy to get to
- Joliet has free 2 hour street parking, so it’s nice to not have to figure out how to pay for parking

Stopped in for Dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Great old-world charm and the food was wonderful! We happened upon this restaurant by mistake and thought we would give it a try. It was so good we returned the next day for Brunch. Definitely recommend if you are in the downtown Joliet area.
Some days things don’t go as planned, but when that happens, as long as you have EJ, you’ll be all good! Talk about hospitality, they took such good care of us and made it happen. I had the delicious chicken sandwich and my husband the Butcher sandwich and it was done to perfection. The only thing I missed was those martinis!!! I’ll definitely be back for that.

soooooo good. Friend and I had lunch today. I am at supper time and warming up my delicious lunch.
OMG, with a salad I added, I not only had lunch today and supper (leftovers from lunch) AND another lunch or supper forthcoming in the fridge.
Excellent and thoughtful service. I could see the waiter was looking our way and when I looked down; he knew we had not yet quite decided. He gave us more time.
I had the dirty fries with steak and it was spectacular. Nothing less. Also the house sauvignon blanc was excellent. Service (I should have asked the young man's name to give him a boost, but from the experience of the service; he will do well in many avenues of business). '
Looking forward to my next visit. The 'feel' of the place is absolutely welcoming.
Juliet restaurant in the lovely Joliet. Don't take anything too seriously. If you do not provide your current phenomenal service and quality, I will be sad.
I do not believe that will happen. I think you like to cook and please customers; my opinion this day of 1/2/26. It's Joliet; our (Joliet's) love language is feeding our residents and visitors great food and camaraderie.

Tried this place for the first time on New' Year's Eve. I ordered the Ribeye and my companion ordered the special for that night, which happened to be a New Your Strip covered with crab meat . We both ordered our steaks medium rare, however when served, my companion's Strip was way over done. No sign of red or pink. It was very dry and tasteless. It was like they had prepared it way in advance, kept it warm, and then served when ordered. My steak, on the other hand was served, at the perfect temperature and coloring. We will give them another try some day soon, but might shy away for the daily special. On a positive note, I was a little leery of the peppercorn sauce they wanted to put my rib eye so had it served on the side. I found it to be quite flavorful and would gladly use it in the future

Visited in NYE and did not expect the high quality of service from the wait staff, kitchen runners, clearing plates and timeliness of beverages to match the meal. We were treated like kings and queens! Thank you Juliet's. Please keep the high quality of service and food as you had on NYE during the whole year. The food was outstanding. The best filet I have had at a restaurant in a long time. Cooked to my perfection and so tender it melted in your mouth. If I could have licked the plate I would have! We will be back!! Thanks!!
