Stopped in after a baseball game. The nicest people work here and the live music is awesome (this lady has PIPES)! Ask for the spicy salsa. It's amazing! Food is delicious and tastes authentic. Definitely an awesome find!

Friendly atmosphere and good food , fast service. we asked for gluten free food and they knew what it was! When I visit Joliet to meet with my good friend, we always stop at Vela's for lunch. Is it the good food? Yes! Is it the friendly, but professional service? Yes! Is it the kind of place where you can just relax,spend time and not feel rushed with friends or family in the warmth of an enjoyable restaurant? Absolutely! The cost of lunch, also makes it a practical choice for families and friends to enjoy. You know I love it so much, that I'm going back tomorrow.
