Good luck in trying to find it. There are no signs for it. It was inside a Clarion Hotel. The staff was outstanding although a little overwork. The menu is kind of sparse but I ordered the Whiskey River burger and it was the bomb. The sauce they put on it was outstanding.

I was in Joliet, Illinois for a job orientation.and how blessed I was to be placed in a hotel with the Whiskey River Bar and Grill in it... Sandy, her husband and Cherie made my stay here more than enjoyable.
The Food was amazingly delicious. The conversation and environment kept me from actually putting all my stuff back in my car and calling it quits several times.... I recommend you visit this little hideout at the Clarion in Joliet as you'll be pleased with everything from the front desk, room service to house keeping. They really try to make your stay they best they it can be...

Came here after seeing they had a pretty decent happy hour. However when we arrived, not a single patron nor wait staff. Place was completely deserted. Then we found out they don't do happy hour any more. Ended up going elsewhere.

Excellent whiskey selection, and very good food. Michael at the bar is very good. He mentioned he's fairly new, but he provides excellent service while managing to juggle the bar and seated section. He does an excellent job of answering any questions, and providing the best service he can.

Michael needs a raise.This hotel is a hot mark for trucking companies to train and home truckers at, they often get to the hotel between 5 or 6 pm or later so if you want a quiet meal i suggest going at 4PM. I went on a thursday at 4. I had a burger with bacon and fries. It costed 21 dollars. It was a little greasy but thats a good thing. The fries were crunchy on the outer shell and soft on the inside. Burger bacon was a little hard. Onions were extremely fresh. They make some good drinks here but i couldn't order any due to the company im working with prohibiting us from alcohol. Pretty good overall.

Abby is the Absolutely the Best Server/Bartender. Me and my Friend ordered a few drinks and kept adding stuff to our food order. She didn't skip a beat and did it with a great attitude and a big smile! She was training a New Employee with everything going on with multiple tables. Everytime someone walked out of the kitchen I just wanted to grab it and eat it! The Food Abby Recommended was spot on, and the drinks were AMAZING! PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN MARTINI, AND CHOCOLATE TURTLE MARTINI, AS WELL AS TASTE THE RAINBOW (Do Not Stir!) HahahaI Highly recommend all of them including BBQ Chicken MAC and Wings, as well as Fried Oreos ? Will definitely be returning.
Wheelchair accessibility: First Floor restaurant, no steps, plenty of room in between tables to maneuver.

Such a letdown to have the front desk clerk attest to great food and receiving poor service and a horrible lineup of food. We were kind enough to order at 6:30 (knowing they stop serving at 8), and didn’t receive our meals until 8:15. The staff is absurdly rude, the cook is unfortunately undertrained, resulting in horrible food prep and quality. We received a 1 CUP SIDE of Mac and cheese AFTER WE PAID FOR a $14 meal.The nachos consisted of chips, chicken, cheese and tomato.My sauce for cheese bites was missing, as well as the sauce on side for bbq chicken sandwich.They did not serve croutons, but instead bread CUBES, used for stuffing!

Either I came on a bad day or the pictures on google are lies. The ‘garlic mashed potatoes’ were not that. They were cheap boxed mashed potatoes without any flavor. The vegetable on the pic looked like some delicious asparagus but what I got was some frozen vegetable medley that they must have boiled instead of steamed because they were flavorless. The chicken itself was the only thing on my plate that I can call delicious. The rest was, well, gross. The employees were SUPER friendly and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Overall it was overpriced for what I got. I did have a coupon tho so that’s good. If the price had been more in line with the quality of food I got I would have given 3 stars but they charge premium price for unimpressive meal.

Rare night tonight at WR. The bartender was out sick & the kitchen crew held it all together. SO appreciate their dedication!Not a normal Mai Tai, but great attempt, McKenzie. Still enjoyed it. ?Cassandra, thanks for ensuring we got fed. You were a great stand-in server & additional bartender. Much appreciated. ??In our world of being short staffed, WR could have easily closed for the night. So happy this crew took care of us and everyone else!Thank you, thank you!Management - take care of them!!
