One morning during my english class my teacher was talking about a review we
needed to do and I had to choose between a product or a food place. At first I
wanted to do a product but then I was looking at restaurants near me and that’s
where I saw Whiskey River Bar and Grill Joliet. I was fascinated by the pictures
of the food and decided to try it out. I can proudly say that my experience there
was amazing.
First of all, I was surprised by the atmosphere of the place. The restaurant had a
lot of wooden objects and it gave a welcoming classy vibe. While walking in I was
greeted and I saw that this place had things that were very unique like the
wooden tables, the lights, and a golden colored wall at the back. The Golden
colored wall was unavoidable and it immediately caught my attention. The place
was also very clean and organized.
Second of all, the menu variety and cost were good. When we sat down we were
given a couple of minutes to look through the menu and figure out what we
wanted to eat. I really liked how the menu looked and it was easy to read and
find out the ingredients on the dishes. There were a lot of items on the menu and
they had a lot of variety to choose from. The prices were good, it wasn't crazy
cheap nor crazy expensive, the prices felt very reasonable for one person but I
feel like if a big family goes it can be a bit pricey depending on what they order.
Third of all, the service and food were amazing. The server was very polite and
handed me the menu. After taking a look at the menu I decided to order the
chicken club and some fries. I waited a couple of minutes for my sandwich and I
can proudly say that the wait was worth it. It looked like they had pulled it straight
from an advertisement, steamy and fresh. I went in for my first bite and the
crispness of the chicken was out of this world and the sliced avocados actually
felt fresh. The fries were warm and really well seasoning. While eating the server
made sure our drinks were always filled. My brother ordered a WR burger and
when it got here it was ginormous. We enjoyed the food and had zero
complaints.
In conclusion, it was a great experience, I rate it a 5 star. The vibes of the place,
the awesome service and food made this experience unforgettable. I really
recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Busy place with our Hot Rod group coming in on a Tuesday night. But the staff did great. Burgers were pretty good.

The menu has been condensed since the previous time we were here but the bartender/waitress was very nice and alone. It is in a hotel and was during the week so we were pleasantly surprised how attentive the bartender was at getting us drinks and food.

Good luck in trying to find it. There are no signs for it. It was inside a Clarion Hotel. The staff was outstanding although a little overwork. The menu is kind of sparse but I ordered the Whiskey River burger and it was the bomb. The sauce they put on it was outstanding.

I was in Joliet, Illinois for a job orientation.and how blessed I was to be placed in a hotel with the Whiskey River Bar and Grill in it... Sandy, her husband and Cherie made my stay here more than enjoyable.

The Food was amazingly delicious. The conversation and environment kept me from actually putting all my stuff back in my car and calling it quits several times.... I recommend you visit this little hideout at the Clarion in Joliet as you'll be pleased with everything from the front desk, room service to house keeping. They really try to make your stay they best they it can be...

Came here after seeing they had a pretty decent happy hour. However when we arrived, not a single patron nor wait staff. Place was completely deserted. Then we found out they don't do happy hour any more. Ended up going elsewhere.

Excellent whiskey selection, and very good food. Michael at the bar is very good. He mentioned he's fairly new, but he provides excellent service while managing to juggle the bar and seated section. He does an excellent job of answering any questions, and providing the best service he can.
