“The roadhouse is a great little bar, friendly faces in nice places. Come in when Heather or Jessica are working. They're absolute bosses at bartending. They will always make your drinks right!! They're always friendly and happy to make what you want! I highly recommend you come by and grab you a few drinks. I promise you won't regret it, especially if Heather or Jess is working.”

“This place is deceiving. It looks like a regular diner. But the food was delicious and inexpensive. The vegetable beef soup was truly like my grandma made it. Wonderful. The horseshoe was the best I have had anywhere with a delicious beef patty seasoned excellently. The fajita salad my husband had was good. They also have breakfast options all day. This is not your ordinary diner food. Waiter was excellent and energetic. Very attentive. This is worth the drive.”

“We were looking forward to axe throwing. One of the lanes we were given was so deteriorated that when I removed an axe, a chunk of wood roughly 4x18" fell out of the center, and we were still expected to play the lane. I had thrown 3, maybe 4 times when that happened, and I quit after that. The rest of the party was on another lane. The experience was so lacking that we left before our first 30 minutes was even up. We were offered no apology, improvement, nothing. And of course, charged a full rate. Very disapppinting, and genuinely didn't feel like they cared about the axe throwing area. Would not recommend.”

“I was there for the outlet, got an energy drink and stay in the Subway section and plug my phone in to charge, which is why I go to Loves gas stations, so I don't have to look for an outlet or ask to use one.”

“This used to be a good place to eat but it has declined since COVID. Went back there today for lunch. Ordered a hamburger and fries. The fries were air fryer fries. Yuck. I could if had those at home. This was a $20 meal. It was bad. Slow service as well. It took 45 minutes to order and get food. The meat in the nachos was burnt and it was small portion. That was also $20. Will not be going back.”

“I’m sharing this review in the hopes that management somehow sees. We stopped today while on the road and were served by Ricky. It was Father’s Day and my husband, two children, and I were driving home from a family visit out of state. Ricky was so incredibly kind to us all and it was just so touching to see someone working so hard and also being just so sweet to our kids and to us. Ricky - thank you! You were a bright spot in our day today and we wish you the best! ❤️Ricky deserves a raise.Also, the chicken was good. ?”

“We visited Galesburg for a couple days and ate breakfast here with our kids both mornings. The food was excellent…we had the famous pancakes and also tried an omelette (Armenian - was delicious). We also tried the Hong Kong Street Noodles the second day and they were amazing. The entire wait staff (not just our server) was friendly and welcoming as was Judy herself! We hope to come back again next time we visit or pass through!”

“We ate here for the first time before a show at the Orpheum, which is just around the corner. The food was excellent, and we were happy to see so many gluten free options. I had the meatloaf sandwich and I would have it again without hesitation. Fine crepe desserts, too. Highly recommended.”
