I come here on a regular basis and liked their Burek, but recently Burek is always dry on top of that $4.89 for a small bottle of yoghurt?! Claiming you use traditional and premium ingredients preparing it every morning or in reality JUST DULUTING it with water ? 🤦♀️ The bottled Kefir that costs $5k in store is $10 here. They literally are ripping people off. The blonde lady I assume is The owner is rude . Spare me from the ChatGPT generated response. Not coming back. AVOID !

Whenever I’m craving ajvar, planning to make ćevapi for dinner, or just need a quick bite—this place is my go to. The shelves are always stocked, and the bakery counter never misses. Everything tastes just like how my grandma made it back 🏡 home.

I gave this place several chances, but each time something was wrong. Two times food was tasteless, tried savory and sweet goods, all cakes taste similar if not the same, coffee from an automated machine (truck stop style) costs $5 (should not cost more than $3/$3.5) and milk most times have gone bad, service is ok (3 out of 5) and all menu items are overpriced. Last thing I purchased was the Zito , which has no taste nor I can taste walnuts inside it is not sweet no savor so I have no idea what im eating. The other item was the princess krofna, which was also smaller than 6-8 months ago. Price probably the same. Filling seemed old. ... too bad , looks like a nice place and as a person with origin from the Balkans I expect fresher and tastier food.

Burek is realy good and daily fresh. I stopped by and bought a lots of items for my family in NW suburbs. But I wanted some sweet treats and bought kremipa, šampita and tulumbe. They looked wonderful and fresh in the display refidgerator, but the lady that worked there quickly pulled out pre-packed clams boxes of items I had ordered, I even agreed to by two of each-instead of one as it was my first intention, because they were packed in pair. I brought them home and wanted to have a sweet treat with coffee with my wife and son. Krempitas were SPOILED and sour!!! We had to throw them right away. Šampita was edible but old and stale with grainy mouthfeel - we tried and tossed it. Tulumba's were also old and stale, very hard when chew instead of airy and fluffy. They should take better care of stock rotation and discard perishable items that are old and stale and spoiled. I always had a high opinion and good experience with Balkan Bakery until now. I hope they won't spoil their reputation by selling spoiled cakes.

What a sweet little bakery and shop. Delicious burek, gorgeous case of authentic cakes and cookies. Nice selection of savory food. Really nice provisions too, Serbian liquor, unique items. On our list of favorite Serbian bakeries/shops!

Picked up for to go burek and jogurt. Burek was cold(I live less than 5 minutes away) and jogurt was old and not good. This is the third time in a row that I have a bad experience here so I am not gonna come back.

Delicious torte and kolaci! I always get compliments from guests when I order dessert from Balkan Bakery for various events.
Delicious all around, that Toyota Camry review is just a hater. I especially like the different pies they have available. I tried eating the mushroom pie in combination with the spinach and feta pie, 10/10.
