Great service, great food, great location. Lovely evening with family. One of our favorites.
Our favorite place in LaGrange. Tuesday is half price wine night which is a great value. The pizza is one the very best in Chicago. The ability to get things like ROASTED green peppers along with other unique ingredients on your pizza is so good. If you like crispy thin crust then this is your place. Order it well done for extra crispy. My wife swears by the Contadina salad and has it every time. Portion size on entrees is very generous. You will have chicken piccata to take home.
A Friday night and the noise level was Loud. Plus TV's Plus music. In addition, the tables were crammed right next to each other and we had to talk loud to the person across the table. Tables so crammed that people next to us could not stand without us moving our table.
My husband's orechette dish may have been the worst tasting dish at a restaurant we have ever had. The entire dish had zero flavor. The sausage was tiny hardened pebbles of what seemed like unseasoned ground beef. The dish came to him completely dry. We sent it back for more broth. Got it back and we're wondering if the kitchen simply poured in water instead of broth. We ended up telling our waiter we didn't want it anymore and he took it back. My chicken was slightly better but definitely wasn't lemony. The chicken was overdone and what was supposed to be lemon sauce was extremely salty and overly tasted like garlic. A bit of pasta and cut up tomato was thrown in as an afterthought. It made no sense with the dish. I ate it because I was very hungry. Our waiter was very nice and we could tell he was slammed. He did take my husband's entree off the bill but should have brought over a manager. The cocktail I had was fantastic and we really enjoyed the tiramisu, but my husband doesn't ever want to come back. We also noticed how messy the bathrooms were. So disappointing as I was there with a friend earlier this year and everything was great. This was supposed to be our anniversary dinner. 😥
The food was very good and prepared well; however, adding the 3.5% charge when using a charge card will probably keep us from going back. Our service was extremely pleasant and attentive.
We returned to Luca's to enjoy their delicious pumpkin raviolis, but they were already sold out at 7:30PM
Great food! Never disappoints! Had a pumpkin ravioli and some delicious wine. Cannoli rounded out a terrific meal. Love Lucca's!
My sisters and I were at Lucca's last evening for my birthday celebration. It was very cozy, the noise was minimal to moderate, and the service and food were very good.
The Restaraunt was nice. The food was great. Even though the restaraunt was getting less crowded, we still had to wait a while for our waitress. Don't get me wrong, the waitress was pleasant, but she would take a while to get to our table. The other gentlemen would come by and check on us, but I don't think they were waiters. The prices a little on the high side, but the atmosphere was nice.
Food was not bad. Service was awful. We ordered a bottle of bubbles that took forever to get to table. Don't explain to me that wine is stored in cellar and is chilled when ordered, I know, it takes a 15 minute ice bath to get to serving temp, it took just shy 30 mins to get to the table. Was asked halfway thru dinner to move tables. My date was very annoyed. The gentleman we sat next to was annoyed for us as well wondering how we didn't just walk out. Our server asked what happened? Which means the host did not even tell the server her table was being moved, great communication, causes awkward tension. I Joke and said oh they told us to move and they were going to give us gelato. We did order gelato, and we were given 1 bowl with 2 scoops instead of separate bowls. At this point too upset to even bother asking for separate bowls. Get the check and gelato is on there, it is not fully comped. Mind you I told the server who asked why the bubbles that I was celebrating getting a consultant role at a public firm . I am an accountant. The noncash surcharge hit the gelato line item amount as it is in the subtotal. I do not care about 3.5% on $7, I cared that someone had the audacity to look me dead in the face when I said this shouldn't even be on the ticket - server cuts me off before I can finish my point that it is not actually fully comped since an upcharge is on it - and she barks it is comped. Gave the server my card and said whatever. But 4.77/130.90=3.64% so why is your CC surcharge listed as 3.5%? Show the server this if they wonder why I tipped poorly. I wanted to tip nothing but I use to be a bartender/server and can't tip $0 no matter how bad things went.... The food is not good enough to make up for the service.

Pizza was good. Service was immaculate. Constant refill on water and one server even offered, before we asked, to take a photo for us. Really good vibes in the restaurant.
We've been here many times and feel the food isn't as good as it used to be. The spinach salad is our favorite thing on the menu, but this time had too much dressing. The chicken limone was overcooked, tough and dry. The Branzino was good but the potatoes that accompany it are very dry (always have been, which I now remember is why I stopped ordering this in the past). It's very loud inside but the outside area is pleasant.
Dishes at Lucca’s have been hit or miss for the past 20 years, and for the prices they charge, they should pay more attention to their preparation. One day the Chicken Picatta will be perfectly seasoned, linguine al dente, delightful lemon, butter, wine sauce, with tender chicken cutlets. The next, it may be super salty, swimming in oil/butter, with over-cooked pasta and/or tough chicken. In addition, their tomato sauces have always been very starchy and thick. The pizzas have always been on the extra salty side. On the other hand, their grilled chicken cutlets have always been good and the Contadino salad is excellent, especially when you substitute the Feta with Gorgonzola!

My experience dining at Lucca's has always been a pleasure. We were never rushed, the wait staff was always friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent. I always recommend Lucca's when my friends are looking for a good lace to dine.
If I could give it more stars I would. The menu is extensive. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Bruschetta appetizer, the special pumpkin ravioli and a stuffed deep dish pizza. They had wonderful cappuccinos and non alcoholic specialty drinks. We ate outside and enjoyed the beautiful flowers and quaint small town brick buildings while watching the trains come and go. Our server, Esmeralda, was friendly and attentive. Also 2 different gentleman came by our table to refill waters, take our plates and box our food. We ordered desserts to go (because the menu looked too good not to, but the dinner portions were beyond filling haha.) it was an absolutely delightful experience.
