Delicious home made ice cream, but the portions were very small especially considering the price.

All good just slightly more pricey than I expected. 10.81 for 2 single scoop cups.

Best Ice Cream in the western suburbs! A real old fashioned shop, they make all thier own ice cream. So good ....

I normally don’t leave reviews for businesses but I feel as people should know what they are getting when coming to Tates. I wish I could leave a zero star review. I have come a few times now, knowing that places have their off days but Tates has been a disappointment more each time we came. The owner talks down to her employees which are young and in highschool, probably first jobs. She shows no patience for her workers. Then to top it off the scoop portion is the smallest portion for the amount you pay. They don’t even pack the cone when putting a scoop on. Don’t waste your time or money going to this business! Instead go to Highland Queens - the portions are triple the size of Tates and half the price with all welcoming sweet employees, also has a great vibe for the whole family!

I had the bordeaux cherry ice cream at a dinner party last night and it was amazing. Looking forward to coming to the store and trying some other flavors.

Excuse me for saying this publicly but people complaining about ice cream not being sweet enough, have been fed too much sugar by corporate brands and need to evaluate their life choices.

A very lively ice cream shop with many flavors! There is seating both indoor and outdoor and many things to entertain kids while enjoying the ice cream!

Cute little spot! Went on the last day of the season. They had great deals and gave us a take home gingerbread house.

This place brings you back to a time gone by and when things were simpler and wholesome. The inside has several tables and chairs that allow you to enjoy the atmosphere and nostalgia of things enjoyed when you were a kid.

They offer a slew of options to consume. You will be able to find something to fulfill your sweet tooth be it either homemade ice cream, chocolate malts, or the assortment of candies.

The chocolate malt was made as we waited. The process was just like you were making it in your own kitchen. The malt was delicious and full of malt flavor!

The owner and operator was a great person who has no problem sharing a friendly conversation while making your favorite dessert.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a relaxing experience with some tasty treats.

The ice cream was awesome, very creamy with a great flavor selection. The staff were very friendly and the store had a perfect atmosphere of an period ice creamery.
