Love the space. Love the multiple levels especially rooftop. Prices are really far outside of reasonable for offerings on menu. Food is nothing special and marginal. Very confusing on what they are trying to be.. 3 people, each ordered 1 app off app menu and 2 drinks each (wine not cocktails) $184. So basically $20 for anything you order. Ordering from main menu will cost you much more. Hope they can figure out what they want to be and recreate the menu.

We recently got married at The Elm this past weekend (10/13/2024) and can't express in words how satisfied we were with their service. Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism.

We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. The atmosphere and vibe of both rooms was everything that we could hope for. The staff was incredible, the food/drinks were AMAZING, and our guests had nothing but positive feedback.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS PLACE FOR A WEDDING AND/OR ANY OTHER EVENT.

It was OK. Really nice atmosphere and our server was amazing, but the food just isn't great. The risotto is quite disappointing, it just doesn't taste like risotto. It felt like regular rice with vegetables and lacked the feeling of a real risotto dish. Not sure it was the right kind of rice, arborio. The drinks aren't great either, just couldn't find a good one. I had thyme, others had the prickle pear, but I think they lack some kind of floral or fruit -forward option. Appetizers were great but risotto was really disappointing.

Our visit to The Elm in La Grange was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped onto the rooftop, we were captivated by the classy and sophisticated atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed brunch. The ambiance was simply exquisite—chic, yet welcoming, with stylish decor that set the tone for a delightful meal. The rooftop view was the cherry on top, offering a serene and refreshing backdrop as we savored every bite. For our first visit, we chose brunch, and it was a decision we’ll never regret! We indulged in the BEER BATTERED FISH TACOS and the GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH, and both were absolute culinary masterpieces. The Beer Battered Fish Tacos were a symphony of flavors—crispy, golden fish paired perfectly with the rich chipotle aioli, vibrant cilantro lime slaw, and crisp radish, all nestled in a warm, soft corn tortilla. The fresh squeeze of lime added a burst of brightness, tying everything together in the most delightful way. The Grilled Chicken Sandwich was equally extraordinary. The chicken was tender and juicy, elevated by the smoky bacon, crunchy onions, and pepper jack cheese, all embraced by a soft telera bread. The chipotle aioli provided a subtle kick, while the fresh lettuce and tomatoes added a refreshing balance to the rich flavors. The Elm went above and beyond our expectations. The food was a flavor explosion, and the rooftop vibes made it the perfect start to our day. We’re already planning our next visit to explore more of their incredible menu!

I had high hopes for the Elm, and for the most part, my husband and I had a nice time!

Salmon wontons appetizer was not a wonton, but a mini fried taco. It was okay, just not was I was expecting!

I got the scallops, wonderful! My husband got the NY strip steak. Came out way under cooked. Sent it back, took another 25 minutes to come back out. Server was wonderful and manager (also very nice) took it off the bill. Definitely killed the vibe in our date night out.

Roof top patio was LOVELY and such a cool city vibe!

I think we will go back, just won’t get the steak again.

very nice restaurant especially the upstairs food is amazing as well but the people managing this restaurant not very nice at all and I am not talking about the owners. the Spains are very kind courteous people. However a manager by the name of Louise? (Hispanic women with glasses) very rude, needs to learn how to smile, just a bad apple in the bunch. Along with a kitchen manager I believe goes by the name of Laura. Needs to be mindful of the guests in her vicinity. I dont mind cursing but I believe restaurant staff should mind their mouth and manners while in earshot of guests. Especially if she is going to be drinking at the bar after her shift and being loud while doing it. Just gives a bad perception for this restaurant. Wouldnt bring my kids.

Our company hosted a private event in the Harris room and everything from the food to the service was incredible. The cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the decor is amazing. The attention to detail and the warmth from our lead server Abby was much appreciated and made our event go smoothly and seamless. I would highly recommend The Elm for their incredible service as well as tasty food!
We can't wait to host our next event there.
