I’m not sure what’s up with the older gentleman I believe his name is Bob.P according to the receipt, that works at this location but he’s extremely rude. His attitude and customer service capabilities are by far some of the worst I’ve ever experienced at this location. He looks at you with disgust as if you did something to him and I’m going to honest, it’s very unsettling. Take was the icing on the cake. While ordering food, he asked if I wanted sausage or something else that I could barely understand him say and right before I made a decision, he asked in a very hostile tone, “WHAT!??”. I don’t know what’s his deal is but I will never step foot at this location ever again. If I could give this location -1000 stars I would all because of the staff.

The men working there make the whole interaction very uncomfortable, I also placed an order through the app and my apple wallet showed it was an approved purchase. I went at the time the order was supposed to be ready for and my order had not been made, the man told me to contact my bank even with me showing times and this exact location for pick up. Waste of time and they were very rude.

I’ve been to many other Tropical Smoothies but this one by far is the worst. They charged me way more for a few edits to a wrap that other locations can swap at no charge. I ended up paying more for add-ons than what I received at other locations. If you can, avoid this place for food.

As an UberEats driver, my experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe was frustrating and disappointing. The wait time was excessively long, with orders taking far longer than expected, causing delays in my deliveries. Additionally, the South Asian staff member was blatantly disrespectful, ignoring requests for faster service and showing no regard for the urgency of my job. This lack of professionalism and poor efficiency make it hard to recommend this location for drivers or customers expecting timely service.

Lana and Rick (and Bob, Rick’s dad who wasn’t there, but I know if an awesome guy) at the Lake Bluff store are FANTASTIC! Funny, kind, attentive, and just overall awesome! I only go to this location for a reason! They create such a welcoming environment and are just nice, good people! Huge props for being an awesome team!

This was my first time visiting this business, and unfortunately, I left disappointed. My daughter went in to purchase a specific product, but when she returned to the car, we realized it wasn’t what she had ordered. I went back inside to address the issue. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and had great customer service, which I appreciated.
However, a male employee came over and immediately became defensive. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, he launched into a full recap of his conversation with my daughter and showed no willingness to help or correct the mistake. I chose not to argue and simply took the product and left.
I’m not sure if this was due to poor training or just a lack of professionalism, but I’ve never experienced this kind of response at any food-related establishment—not even at a fast-food chain like McDonald’s.

Went to pick up a mobile order and there was a language barrier clearly was walking with my ESA’s and Gentleman kept on being rude and yelling. Never again. Go to Jamba Juice!

I don’t often write reviews but after my most recent visit, i thought it’d be best to share my experience:
There’s an older man who is blatantly rude and disrespectful. Has treated me like i was hostile just for asking nicely about orders that i was picking up. (Him and the other staff have been known to ignore customers.)
Yesterday, they had a contractor working on their sewage or plumbing and the ENTIRE STORE reeked that it made it unbearable to stay even for a second. Considering this was going on during their business hours, it made me question how this doesn’t violate public and food safety regulations.. (Their solution: leaving the front door open with a fire extinguisher to keep it from closing)
I truly hope the owner of this establishment works on fixing these issues because i certainly will not be back anytime soon. I hope their corporation sees this also and takes the appropriate action as well.

Horrible portions and gross! ordered a chicken wrap basically just got lettuce and hot sauce. hardly any protein, but two chunks of chicken.. the lettuce was a disgusting brown color and slimy.
