We love Francesca's! Great food and service. Only note I'd have is to switch up the music. The past two times I've gone, they've played what sounds like a 2010's radio station. Would love to hear some dinner music or jazz, something that matches the ambiance. Otherwise, we loved everything!

Another fantastic dinner at this restaurant! I wanted to go for the traditional dish of spinach ravioli, but opted for a chefs linguine special. The right choice! The staff go above and beyond and the food is extraordinary!

We always have a nice dinner there and the food has been reliably good. We will return, but I'm giving a 4 vs 5 for last nights dinner for the following reasons: the arribiata sauce was way too spicy, I had to ask for water refills a few times. The timing was off, I wasn't finished my salad before our entrees arrived (and I'm not a slow eater). On a positive note, the redfish and Tiramisu were wonderful.

We are regulars at this place. Love the food and the old-timer staff. Their bathroom situation needs a re-think. They have a ladies room and a unisex room. No men's room and every single time I have to wait for the bathroom, an employee comes out. It's annoying.

Disappointed with Our Recent Experience We had high hopes for our recent visit to Mia Francesca in Lake Forest, but unfortunately, the experience fell short on several fronts. From the start, our server seemed disengaged and inattentive. Our appetizers took an unusually long time to arrive—especially frustrating as we watched other tables who were seated after us receive their food well before we did. When the meatball appetizer finally arrived, it was cold. We asked for additional bread, which was never brought by our server; we eventually had to flag someone else down to get it. The delay continued with our main dishes, which also took quite a while to come out. At that point, we weren't even certain one of the dishes was correct—but again, our server was nowhere to be found. Disappointing.

The indoor ambiance was beautiful but the weather was so nice the evening we visited that we decided to dine alfresco. Our waiter Juan was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Our dinners were so delicious. Definitely will make this stop when visiting Chicago again.
