Took very long time for the Sausage and Peppers appetizer to arrive. Menu stated “prepared the old fashion way”. We had no idea what this meant. We now believe it means the sausage is created from scratch. All food tasted excellent.

Avoid the steak entree, tasteless. Sausage much better choice! Need to widen their former pizza menu as well.

We sat outside on the patio with heat lamps. Delicious chopped salad! Loved the Sophia Loren cocktail. Chicken was very good. Definitely coming back!!!

Can't beat dining outdoors on the patio at the end of September! So glad Francesca's has expanded their space! Excellent food (carpaccio, rigatoni vodka), service and ambiance. One of our favorite go-to's.
You arrive for a 6 PM reservation and a lovely gentleman seated us. When he went back to the bar, you could hear a younger woman scolding him for sitting us in a booth. It was quite uncomfortable. The restaurant was still primarily empty, and by the time we left not all booths were even seated. My husband ordered the veal, medallion, medium rare, and they came out tough, with no flavor and well done. I had heard great things about this restaurant, but between the hostess, average Service and very disappointing food we will not be back

The piece of uncut, hard, bread served with food should be avoided, or taken off completely from serving. It is hard, and most of all, hard to cut! It’s like a piece of clay, horrible 🥖 bread!! Italian bread should NOT be like this!! Or any bread, period.

Really disappointed in the last minute cancellation by Francescas. I have been coming for years and enjoy the food but was upset that they canceled my reservation for a noon lunch 6 days before with a voicemail advising of a private event. (A quick drive by day of showed otherwise). Had family coming in from out of town, with the reservation locked in close to 6 weeks in advance. Impossible to find a non-brunch reservation in Lake Forest/Highwood/HP/LB area on a Sunday at noon so extremely disappointed that they would do this. It has definitely shown them to be untrustworthy with a reservation.

We stopped in to celebrate our anniversary and couldn't be more pleased with our selection! The outdoor patio was comfortable, service was attentive, and the food was excellent. We ordered the burrata to start us off and it was very fresh tasting. The risotto special was very delicious, it belongs on the menu all the time! Linguine arrabiata was also very tasty with fresh tomatoes and just enough spice. Thanks for a great dinner!
